Argentinian Fabricio Coloccini target for Newcastle?

Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp has reportedly launched a move to sign Argentinian World Cup central defender Fabricio Coloccini from Deportivo La Coruna.
Coloccini played for Argentina during last year’s world cup and looked a commanding player – and would seem to fit the bill at Newcastle.

The sad news for Newcastle fans broke today that Jonathon Woodgate has indeed signed for his home club Middlesbrough for a reported $7M on a four year contract.
Newcastle’s unwillingness to take a chance on Woodgate last summer has cost them resigning probably the best center back ever to wear Newcastle’s colors.
