The endless, unmitigated disaster of Shepherds tenure as chairman has seen us plumb new depths of mediocrity. Is Allardyce really the legacy of the glorious Keegan era? The line ” Shepherd would prefer not to have a foreign manager” is a damning indictment on Shepherd and how he has run the club in to the ground with his narrow minded ” Geordie nation ” philosophy, short term thinking and irrational xenophobia. The likes of Scholari, Hiddinck, Hitzfeld, Ramos, Van Gall et al have all been shunned by Shepherd’s oafish ignorance. I’m sure respective Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool fans are more than happy with a fistful of dollars and Mssrs Benitez, Mourinho and Wenger at the helm. We have a repulsive toad or now possibly 2.

Its good that big AL is endorsing Big Sam, but at the end of the day we have to back who ever the new manager is 100%.

Great if we could get him as assistant to Sam – he’s a future very good manager we think – but just signed on in that capacity at Bolton.

It would be great if Big Sam’s arrival also meant the return of Speed. A real pro with a lot still to offer in a coaching capacity.
