Fred – OK, it is too much to compare Heinze to Bramble. But my point is that he is not that reliable in defence. And we need players who are solid defenders and don’t let opponents score easy goals..Heinze is very passionate though.

Never seen Goran Gavrancic play so can’t comment on that. Maybe saturday when Serbia comes to Finland to get their asses kicked (hopefully)!!

Heinze is a fighter, a passionate player but not so smart I think. He just runs with a ball or for a ball without any plan what to do with it. Yes he jumps but he is unsucessful when he has a taller player in air to fight with him. And last couple of games I saw that he is very prone to errors. And berezutski twins are twice better than gavrancic becouse two good players are always better than one

Luke Young is a good call. At Â£2 million he’s a steal. And he’s more than likely thrilled at the thought of playing for NUFC.

Fred – i hope that Allardyce has some Serbians picked out – you’re right they fir out league very well.
The Russian twins Vasily and Alexei Berezutsky of CSKA Moscow are also great defenders and only 24 years old – only problem is you cannot make them out – they really are identical – – but they would be just great for Newcastle – bring the two of them over.

Hey Kein, you can’t possibly compare Heinze and Bramble. Get serious. Goran Gavrancic is the man to try to get. Vidic is a good example how Premiership is a good style of soccer for big serbian defensemen. We need power in the back. Specially when you have small fullbacks like us in Carr and probably Baines. For Heinze’s defense, he’s the smallest guy I’ve seen trying to head the ball on every play. He’s a fighter, a passionate player.

i agree joe, its guna be difficult to convince the best players to come,but allardyce has to think even bigger than hes probably planned now due to mr ashleys intentions,but im sure that he realises this and hes on the ball.
