seen ronaldinioh outside of anfield with team mate samuel eto’o. florent malouda was with rick parry talking. fernando torres, daniel alvez and simeo were walking arond the stadium. all these will cost around Â£7om not including swap deals.

Its all well and good wanting all these defenders or even being linked to these defenders but we (newcastle) arent moving fast enough to secure 1 of these defenders everyones going on about never mind a 3 defenders to partner taylor in defence!!

i don’t think we have money for w.philliphs…plus we dont need him…we have dyer, n’zogbia, duff, luque, solano…tha’s more then enough…, but the thing with bridge and baines…they are both left backs…

I want Richard Dunne as new CB and skipper!!!!! He is one of the best CB in the EPL. I’m sure we can have him at good price. He is strong and powerfull. Its my first choice. We need him. so its time to show the money!!!

Or we can always try to lure John Terry with a 140 ooo a week offer!! HaHa

thing is though at the moment, the young lads are not going to win us a premiership or a cup or get us into the champions league. We need to go forward and we need good strong quality defenders such as mexes, woodgate, andrade, coloccini, to take these youngings on. hyypia though is not one of these to take them on i dont think.

Paul Konchesky seems to be available for around 1/2 million and I think he’d be an excellent back up for the first team, and when he is performing well definatly pushing for a place in the first team . I would prefer Baines to Shorey as I feel he is already a good player and has excellent potential, whereas Shorey, although a good player, seems to have peaked already.

Id like to see more of the young Canadian David Edgar. Obviously we need more defensive help. But you don’t want to under utilize another talented youngster just to see him slip away for more playing time. He had an excellent strike against ManU last year and is playing very well for Canada in the U-20s. Certainly not a regular starter yet, but someone I would like to see more of as time goes forward.

Jmes – good point on Huntington – had thought he would probably be shipped out on loan for next season to get some games…we’ll have to see. Paul and David Edgar both looked good – particularly at the heart of the defense – rather than full back.

Why would Hyypia leave Liverpool to join Newcastle and not play every week? He’ll be used for the odd game at Liverpool and Rafa has already said he wants to stay for another year.

Len Smith – Agreed, Hyypia would do good in some games, and other where the opposite team has speedy/technical player like ronaldo, he could be on the bench. You’re right on Ramage too, he does seem to have some potential, but he’s not quite there yet, and maybe an experienced player like Hyypia could give him some pointers and help him become at better and more secure player.
