i personally don’t think we need him…perfect scenario would be to exchange him for s.appiah (with fenerbahce)…’cos we’re short on defensive midfielders…we have more then enough attacking midfielders…

I personally think this is great news. I rate Emre very highly and while we maybe havent seen the very best from him, the fact that he has come out and said he wants to play for Newcastle is very encouraging.
For me he is one of our better players and with a bit of consistancy I can see Emre having a good season and playing a big part in Allardyce’s plans.
What makes it more encouraging is the fact that the club, mainly Roeder,stuck by him last season and whilst Roeder has moved on Emre, apparently with offers on the table, has chosen to show his loyalty and commit to Newcastle.

Now its Owens turn to come out and do the same………..

He will be great next season! He has passion/agression and he’s a good tackler, he’s going to be our new terrier along with Barton and Butt.
