I am really liking the way SA says things how they are, it almost seems incomprehensible that we have a manager that appears to be telling the truth and winning over fans and players alike......

Stephen - i think it only decreases when we don't qualify for Europe - so if we qualify next year - don't think the buyout clause decreases - mind you he'll only have one year left on his contract by then. As you say the goals should be have the two of them so happy with Sam etc that we re-nogotiate a new contract with both of them and extend them by 4 years from the signing - that would be more like it.

Interesting story. You guys are doing a great job at bringing interesting news to the blog - rather than just recycling rumours like so many other sites.

I think he will have a good chat with Martins hopefully when they come back he sign a new contract and get that clause out.The annoying part of it with both martins and Owen is even if they stay next season and scores loads of goals they can still leave next summer. The whole point of buying players is to increase there value and obviously score goals is important but its poor business if Owen scores 20 goals next season and then can go for 6 million because i think it decreases his price every year he stays at the club at the moment it stands at 9 million still dont get why we bought a player for 17 million then have a clause in his contract for 9 million
