I think there are plenty of other possibilities to fill the LB gap. But we are always mentioning the LB, but what about our RB and our other CB?

Can anyone tell me how things are going with the following names who were targets for NUFC:
- Habib BEYE
- Sami HYPPIA

Quedrue is a decent player, but I think that Baba is better than him. So go for someone else for LB position. The problem with Baba is that he needs a coach who gives him confidence and who also keeps him motivated. BS is the ideal man to do that, so I won't be surprised that we finally see the real Baba next season. I'm from Belgium and I saw Baba when he played for Anderlecht and he was fantastic, so he is not too old to get that form back. Hope he can improve next season...

This has got to be his agent trying to pump up a bit of interest - Queudrue is hardly 'the signing that will shock the footballing world' we may as well stick one of the fans in at left back as play him - I'm up for it and probably a lot cheaper :)

i would like to see Babs hold on to that LB spot. he is a quality player when applied correctly! Bridge would be a fantastic signing for us. holding thumbs on that one. i hope BSA manages to turn Luque around, i was so excited when Sounness brought him to NUFC, only to fizzle out into the reserve team, where Roeder would have left him till the end of his days had he had his way! such a waste of great talent.

Agree there Greg.

Emanuelson wood be a great buy.

Queudrue - are you pulling my leg?

After all the good signings BS have made so far I really can't see him going for a Fulham reject.

Not Frank Queudrue because he is bit on the tubby side at the moment and he is french and we dont have a good record with french people.I rekon Leighton Baines was a good option ,not 2 keen on nicky shorey and unless BSA can work his magic on Babs. I cant think of a left back who would suit newcastle maybe wayne bridge but he seems to be a money grabber at chelsea and not playing for the football. Maybe a LB from Europe

Nah! On second thoughts we need squad players who are going to push to be first on the team sheet. Bridge and Shorey for the two left backs.

Queudrue is a very underated player who I think is wasted at Fulham. He get's quite a few yellow cards but is good defensively and pretty good at getting forward too. He is quite a disciplined player as far as tactics go and I think he would be a great addition for 2 Million or so.

He player very well at Middlesbrough and I know they were sad to see him go. Which is always a good sign!

If BSA is building the team we hope he is then Franck Queudrue isn’t the leftback we need. I think this is him and his agent offering his services to the Toon rather than him being one of Sam’s targets, however, if we can get him at a good price he would be a good squad player.
