Has Duscher Left Newcastle Already?

A report today suggest that Aldo Duscher has already left Newcastle after training with the team yesterday at Little Benton.

That seems surprising that he has not been given the three full days to impress Newcastle – and we are told that Big Sam couldn’t even attend the training session yesterday – because he was out on other business.

Let’s see if we can make out what’s happening on this.

Aldo Pedro Duscher

It is being reported on the NUFC.COM web-site that Aldo Duscher has already been dispatched out of Newcastle. If Duscher lasted only one day that can only mean that not only did he not impress – but didn’t look the part at all in yesterday’s training.

We don’t know if this is true – and of course don’t know what information NUFC.COM is privy to – but the web-site is usually accurate in their reporting and they are a mature and well respected site for Newcastle fans – so many fans have already seen their report.

We’ll have to wait until we hear more on this – maybe from the Newcastle Journal this morning – but it seems surprising that a player with such a good name is dispatched within a day.

If that’s true on the other hand it also shows that Sam and his staff do not mess around and will only bring players to Newcastle who are of the right skill and caliber to make the squad stronger. In the business world it is often more difficult to say no than yes – so it does give a positive vibe on the new Newcastle management team. But maybe there again – we have let Duscher go because we have landed Deco – you never know do you? 😀

We can’t really comment further on this – other than to say it’s surprising news to us – and if it’s true it’s a big coup for NUFC.COM.  It also shows how these Newcastle blogs are becoming more important for interfacing globally with Newcastle fans – on news associated with our club.

Comments very welcome on this one.

I doubt nufc.com would be that specific if it was not true.
Looks like the full back situation could be resolved according to the journal with fanni joining for £3.5m abd quedrue having talks on Monday. Fanni seems like a good player but not sure about quedrue being our first choice left-back.

Yah, considered the other left backs we have been linked with im kinda disapointed with quedrue, anyone of Baines, Bridge, Shorey or Heinze would be way better.

hmmm strange, he must be still good because depor wanted him to sign a ew contract. im not sure that this is true, sam would give him a fair chance and let him complete the 3 days before making a decision. if he doesn’t come alou diarra or stephen appiah would be good for 5m. are you going to do an article on fanni and quedrue. is fanni good? what will quedrue be like? he is good at free kicks

LiamBirchy8… i agree, it was properly some local from nufc.com who has seen him at the airport and jumped to conclusions, i doubt they have any insider knowledge from someone who would know such a thing, if they had a friend so high up, they would be first with wat more exclusives.

There is one other possibility that no-one has considered.
Both sides are happy and want to wrap up the formalities asap. So Aldo ‘The Butcher’ has left Newcastle to get ready to move to Newcastle. Rather than leave it for the full three days giving other clubs the time to talk to his agent.

And the comment about maybe he has been shown the door cause we have wrapped up Deco – I hope not cause they are two different players and could compliment each other well.

People keep saying – “We already have a player for that position” but to really compete surely we need to be bring in a mixture of squad players and ‘real class starters’. For example Eidur Gudjohnsen (Midfield and Striker). If you can’t have a massive squad like Chelsea then you need a team with versitility. Never seen Fanni play but he seems to have a good reputation and can play a number of positions (not unlike Geremi).

Well that is my thoughts anyway….

May the rebuild continue – looking a brighter start to the season..

Terry – excellent points. Sam has said he wants two good players to fight it out for each position – that’s how you get to be a good team – when nobody thinks he automatically has a place on the starting 11.
Also it may be that Duscher has left because Newcastle didn’t need the 3 days to look at him – and it’s good news rather than bad – just don’t know right now. Hope the Chronicle or somebody can set this straight today.

LaimBirchy8 – we think Fanni and Queudrue would both be good buys if we can get them – Fanni as a starter and Franck as a back up – who will push to make the side.

Maybe Newcastle were so impressed yesterday that they didn’t need the 3 days to look at him – since he’s also free after all – and at least would be a very good squad player. We’ll look for news today on what’s happened.

there are apparently 3 french clubs interested in Fanni, Celtic aswell.
however his agent claimed they were aware of newcastle’s interest, and he said it was england he wanted to go to, so im confident. he’s apparently very pacey.
i dunno about Queudrue, i never rated him too highly.
but, strengthening the squad is never a bad thing, and like its been said, healthy competition for positions brings out the best in players i’d imagine!

Just to let you know mate, Newcastle’s training ground is actually at Long Benton not Little Benton 🙂

Big Kev – My btother in law’s house overlooks the new training ground – he calls that area Little Benton – close to Sun and Black Bull pubs – I know all about Long Benton when all the new houses were built there in the 50s. Maybe I should call it Benton – don’t think it’s actually in Long Benton though.
