He is strong in the air and fairly decent at commanding the line, but I still have my doubts whether or not he has the required qualities to be more than a back-up player at Newcastle. Nothing wrong with Brede, when he played in Norway, but the dansih league is a better league and he has really growned as both a player and as a person. For the last couple of games for Norway, he has been the best player, and his apperance has been 10 times better than players like Riise, Carew and Gamst Pedersen. 2,7 million for the best defender from Norway (at the time) is a small fee to pay. I`m 100% sure he allready is a better defender than for instance Henning Berg (manu-blackburn). He remindes me alot about young Steven Taylor. You can actually se he`s heart outside of the shirt, and he is the kind of guy you really want to have by you side when the is a battle to win....
