the reason why we havnt brought the players in is because he has been turned down by some of his targets and other players in europe have been brought buy other teams, he said he only wanted players who want to play for newcastle, so hes not going to bother chasing after his targets that rejected him, defenders are hard players to buy, thats the reason why these past few weeks we have had no breakthroughs, unlike others like man c and west ham ect… but there not buying defenders!
    do you agree ed?

seriously, dyer is dam good during the match, why cant we just solve his problem and keep him here.

i can also say dat, in the last couple of pre-season games, he played a pivotal role.
crap, i want him to stay!!

    Cheers Ed,
That was a bit of a “crude” challenge by Buffoon on Carroll, good to see BSA was going to come on to the pitch to chin the keeper and stick up for young Carroll, not that I’d advocate violence of course……. if that had been Head teacher Glenn in charge he would have stood arms folded, turned to Terry Mac and said
“give Carroll a hundred lines…I must not run into opposition goal keepers…”
Anyway I’m looking forward to the match tonight….just got to get Santanta without the missus finding out……any idea’s guys???

I just saw that. He is gone. So are we actually going to pay 6 million for Alan Smith then? If Sam is going to play 4-3-3 then do we really need him? (when we have Ameobi, Carroll, Duff, Luque, Martins, Milner, Owen, Viduka) I’m not sure he’s needed. But If he can fill in the centre when needed maybe he;s worth the punt. I can’t decide!!

It’ll be interesting to see what WHam pay Kieron Dyer. Will he accept a large wage cut?

Think of the money we’re saving!!

Smith would only get in ahead of one man…
You have probably seen it but a bet you still giggle at this.

Smith coming, I sure hope not. Aren’t there any other possibilities to replace Dyer. We always hear we need to strengthen our defence and now that a player will come it will be an attacker. Can’t follow anymore.

BTW folks I hope in 11 days I hear positive news about the Toon cause in a few hours I’m flying to Bulgaria.

Ed – keep the good work going.

Ok, just finished watching the first half of the games agaunst Hull on Setanta.

Did any of u guys watch ? I think we were pretty avarege, nothing like against Juve. The inexperience of our young defense is showing, none the less they do their best. Hull’s goal was lucky and it was offside but it doesn’t matter.

The Zog, is average to tonight, and Martins has to improve his first touch but his runs are incredible.
Geremi is class though, i’m starting to love this guy, his long passes are pin point and his controlling the midfield.

I also don’t like the long ball play but i guess that’s just the inexperince of the youngsters.

    And Pattison is shite.

Anyways were getting a good run out, looking forward to Sampdoria and then GAME ON!!!

Just endured the game against Hull, BSA is one crafty dude, putting the young ones out to lever some cash out of Morty & MA.
Not too much to take from the game although on the plus side there were no injuries. Looks like we are signing somebody tomorrow as a Dire replacement……..looks like A Smith though BS wouldn’t confirm on Setanta.
Oh well…looks like we’ll be using the change from the Smith-Dyer deal to buy or borrow some quality defenders…uh-oh.

Toon King…Pattison is shite….looks like he’s had a few kebabs too many or it was -3 degrees in Hull and he had five shirts on to keep warm……..he runs like he’s being chased by the smart one out of Girls Aloud.

Young dude being the dutch 15 year old, cause we had quite a few young dudes out today, average squad age at the end was low 18, if it wasn’t harper in the goal it would have been 16.5.

Darren – I cannot believe he would dare do this. Feel really sorry for Sam if some of this is true. But if it’s true these guys need to get out.
Still not clear there’s any truth in this though.

Be very strange if we sign Smith to replace Dyer – Smith isn’t a winger or a midfield player – although her did play midfield for ManU a few times. Maybe Sam will shock us – and it’s somebody we never expected (and good).

Hammy – it’s best that Dyer goes – he never proved to anyone here that he had real commitment. The wages he got versus his contribution at Newcastle was not good.

Matty Pattison seems to have gone backwards if anything these past two years – he does seem to carry a bit of weight now – wonder what’s happened?

Ed and Darren…just read the Telegraph article…it looks well cobbled together, lots of facts and figures…as Darren says could well explain why the toon have not been splashing the cash, maybe Ashley isn’t as rich as we think he is and maybe he’s a bit of an impulse shopper…….thing is how do you take it back if you don’t want it? I’m right in thinking the stadium belongs to the council? The toon don’t really have any tangible assets apart from the squad, 52k season ticket holders and maybe the training ground, oh and Sky’s pot of cash.
I would have thought it would have been cheaper to wipe the debt out if you could afford to, either that or sell a couple of your best players.
You’ve got to take your hat off to BSA though he’s been very diplomatic about the whole thing………..just hope someone else does not make him a better offer.
