I think it's a bit harsh on Given he's been a long outstanding servant to Newcastle, he's saved us so many times, more then anyone would like to remember and yet the captaincy is given to a new guy. Who fine will probally make a good captain and ya Shay's a keeper like but still it's not the point. He deserves it more then anyone, how he still hasn't walked is a mystery especially with offers from the likes of Arsenal where he could of easily won trophies b now. Instead he's still there standing behind that "defense" like always showing his loyalty. Surely he deserved the armband.
