Sam Wants Cutting Edge Back at Middlesbrough

Sam talked about the game tomorrow at Middlesbrough with Newcastle World TV yesterday and he appeared quite confident.

Sam wants the attacking form we showed at Bolton back for the game at the Riverside and we think if we can reproduce that form a good win is likely on the cards for Newcastle.

These are the games that Newcastle must win to get well placed in the league and build up the confidence of the squad.

Sam Allardcye – wants the full 3 points tomorrow at Middlesbrough

This is what Sam told Newcastle World TV yesterday:

“We have an opportunity to build on that performance against Bolton and if we do we will cause Middlesbrough a few problems,”

“It’s often down to taking your chances, like Blackburn showed on the opening day at Middlesbrough, and we have the players to do that.”

“We need to have that cutting edge on Sunday, like we did at Bolton, and if you have that you can turn the game in your favor very quickly.”

The Newcastle boss is starting to have some selection problems for the Tyne-Tees derby with Emre now returning to the squad and Michael Owen staking his claim for a place in the starting line-up. But as we’ve said before this is the type of problem Sam to create big time if our squad is really going to challenge for a top six place this season.

Sam went on:

“We’ve got goals all over our team and a lot of attacking quality,”

“It’s my job to use that talent for what is best for Newcastle United and we’ll have to wait and see who we use at Boro.”

This is a great opportunity for Newcastle to put another three points on the board but it will not be easy. However, we have to ensure that these games we should be winning are indeed wrapped up with good performances. Then we can really be on our way this season.

Toon to win 2-0 Martins and the Duke to score asgainst his old club, Rozey and Taylor to marshall the defence to another clean sheet. The first game of a 5 match winning spree that will put us in a great position for the next stage of the Toon comeback.

Definately the team selection problems we prefer to see. Unlike last season when we where fielding youngsters and old heads who had no interest in playing football at Newcastle.

Things are looking up and a 0-2 win for Newcastle is just what the doctor ordered.

Graeme, what’s the odds at the local bookies for NUFC winning its next 5 games as it’s do-able?

Lamesley Mag; no idea mate, I’m down in Ipswich – I’m a missionary preaching the gospel of St James’ lol.

Will probably get some great odds here though, if its not blue or yellow, they dont understand!!!!!

Got to be worth a £10 punt though!!!!
