News has come through, with just 15 minutes to go to the transfer deadline, that Nobby Solano has indeed left Newcastle United for West Ham United.
The agreement that Sam Allardyce had made with Nobby was that Solano could go as long as Newcastle bring in both Abdoulaye Faye of Bolton and Habib Beye of Marseilles.
We have to assume Big Sam is confident that these deals will go through to give the go ahead to Nobby. At the time of writing nothing on these two deals have been announced by Newcastle
The Great Nobby Solano – leaves Newcastle for West Ham for personal reasons
Nobby was signed by Kenny Dalglish 10 years ago and apart from 18 months at Aston Villa he has been at the club ever since. He is the best South American ever to play for the club and has been a huge favorite with the fans. This is not only because of his great skillful play but he has also given everything for the club. He was truly dedicated to Newcastle and always gave us 100% effort. Nobby played around 250 times for Newcastle and scored 48 goals – he is also a noted and loud trumpet player as West Ham players will soon find outÂ
Nobby is the second player to leave Newcastle tonight because 19 year-old Paul Huntington was surprisingly sold to Leeds United earlier this evening.
We are so sorry to see Nobby finally leave the club, but we wish him the very best at West Ham and we hope this helps him with his personal situation. Our loss is West Ham’s gain as he is still an excellent player and fitter than he’s ever been. Nobby has played great football for Newcastle this season and was very solid at right-back on Wednesday night against Barnsley – his last game for the club
Nobby – it’s been a great ride for 10 years – thanks.
