Owen’s header really is a piece of class. For a guy of his height to get the amount of headers he does is a testament to his positioning skills. He always seems to get a couple of feet away from his defender at the last moment.
As a footnote – it’s a pity to see the Owen injury argument being dragged into the press. Regardless of what the surgeon said to Owen though, the buck should stop with the Newcastle medical staff. We know how passionate he is about England but it is time for him to make a couple of sacrifices, even if he thinks they may be unnecessary.
Lewis Spears is one of our readers, and he and his pal Mail Shotting are planning a cycle ride across the country for Help for Heroes. They'll be setting out from Whitehaven at around 8:00 am on Sunday 23rd of June, and will cycle across the country in one day, arriving at South Shields in the evening.
It's all for Charity - Help for Heroes - and a modest target of £500 has been initially set, but hopefully that can be exceeded.
Here's where you can donate to Lew and Dan's coast to coast challenge - thanks.
I have had several medical tests completed over the last couple of weeks, and they show my PSA count is undetectable, which signifies my prostate cancer is currently under control, and there is still no trace of it in the body.
What does this mean - well it means the blog will be continuing for at least another six months - until I get my next set of tests - that's the most importamnt thing.

Any reader can start a forum item on this topic. There may be one already up there.
