After this huge club v country row over Owen, wouldn’t it be interesting if it were his goals that kept McClaren in a job, and England away from Big Sam?

BSA has rebuilt the squad for a measily Â£9M and the side looking decent. He still needs to clear out a few more players; Babayaro, Carr, etc and bring in players who’ll not spend 8 months each year on the sick…..

Concerned that England come knocking on our door for BSA if England fail to qualify for Euro 2008. Let’s hope McLaren and the England players can pull us through!

Nobody seems to realise the state the club was in when big sam came injuries,no team spirit,poor facilities,poor academy high wages,nearly relegated last season.big sam has come in and tackled the causes of injuries,revamped the training and academy and facilities,far better team morale ,a much stronger squad what nobody seems to mention he has done it all on 9M.Great Stuff aqnd some people were calling for his head after 5 games embaressing.

Bill F………Jim my Spirit guide reckons this is going to be 2-0…….he was spot on with the England 1-1 as there was no way that was a pen…………
He also predicts Martin Jaw Jol will be down behind Sammy Lee at the Job centre come Bonfire night………..if Jimbo is wrong I’ll be after a new spirit guide……

its unfortunate for sam , but newcastle have had several manager’s in recent years that have just needed to walk in and tweak the team, instead they asked for years to sort it out (which we moaned about but let them get on with it ) and turned the whole club inside out .
if big sam hadnt came in on the tail end of all this he would see geordie patience isnt that bad , as it stands now he needs top 8 at least and really should be pushing for europe .
if he gets neither of these its gonna be hard for him to survive , unless the team is looking good out on the pitch .
maybe the england job may come calling ? he’d get my vote as and english manager (want jose!! ) ,

i agree callum anything better than last season if a bonus, he has build such a strong squad, he has much outweighed my expectations, and i had high expectations

he has brought in the right sort of players and has started organising a team for the future.

i so hope this continues. cant wait for monday, i for one will be singing berba is a geordie berba is a geordie la laaa la la, la laaa la la la

Sam is a great manager and as long as we get onto the top 8 it will be a successful start for him at the club.
