Newcastle vs Arsenal – Teams – Taylor Starts

SAM Allardyce has made just one change from the team which started at Blackburn with Steven Taylor making the team and replacing the injured Abdoulaye Faye, who has a calf injury. It’s good that Steven’s back in the team, as we’ll need his guts and strength tonight.

Surprisingly, Mark Viduka has to settle for a place on the bench again with Big Sam opting for a front three of Alan Smith, Oba Martins and James Milner. David Edgar again returns to the bench at the expense of the injured again Stephen Carr (hamstring).

Arsenal are without Cesc Fabregas and Robin Van Persie (both hamstring), and Alexander Hleb (Achilles) is also out.

TEAMS

Newcastle United: Shay Given, Habib Beye, Charles N’Zogbia, Steven Taylor, David Rozehnal, Nicky Butt, Joey Barton, Geremi (c), James Milner, Oba Martins, Alan Smith
Subs: Steve Harper, Jose Enrique, David Edgar, Emre, Mark Viduka

Arsenal: Manuel Almunia, Bacary Sagna, Kolo Toure, Tomas Rosicky, Lassana Diarra, Eduardo Da Silva, William Gallas (c), Gilberto Silva, Gael Clichy, Emmanuel Adebayor, Emmanuel Eboue
Subs: Jens Lehmann, Denilson, Alexandre Song, Nicklas Bendtner, Theo Walcott

Referee: Mike Dean
Attendance: later

Looks like were going for the same 4-3-3 as against the Rovers, and if u ask me that’s very good.

Arsenal team doesn’t seem that strong, we can take them.

    HOwAY!!!!

    it probably looks like this

    ———Given————
    -Beye–Taylor–Rozy–Zog-

    –Geremi—Butt—Barton–

    –Oba—Smithy—Milner–

    3-0 to the toon!!!

I would love to see N’Zog in midfield, but if the lads can excite like they did this past weekend we should be in for a good one.

No matter what – lets BACK OUR BOYS!
    HOWAY!

    HAHAHAHAHA, you can’t take anybody.

Fat Sam thinks he knows how to be Arsene, he will get a mangerial lesson, and you will get a footballing lesson.

I hope you try and rough us up, cos we can talk it now, it’ll play into our hands and we’ll pass you around!

I don’t think so, that midfield is more than capable of ruffing up the gooners. That’s what we need to do to win,

I’m going to watch the game on Belgian television, prime sports. I really hope the team can put down a good performance with a result that gives us hope.

The only thing again, WHY NO EMRE IN THE SQUAD? We need footballers, not runners like Butt.

Come on SA give the little Emre a chance or you will lose him in January.

@TK: Rozy was a little too casual in midfield there which led to the corner, and again we’re inviting problems from set pieces, and we were asleep again, come on boys, pressure ’em back, percentages will start to turn
