Sam – We’re Still On Unbeaten Run

We suppose Sam tried to put so e good news out after the terrible game against Derby County yesterday in which we struggled mightily against the team way at the bottom of the league.

Sam Allardyce – disappointed at result yesterday

Allardyce said after the game:

“There’s no injury to David. It was a tactical change. I thought we needed a bit more aerial power to cope with Steven Howard and his threat. It was their first point of attack.”

“The defensive problem has cropped up again – but we’ve got more options available in defense.”

“We’ve been running on only one center-half but now we’ve got Steven Taylor, Claudio Cacapa and Abdoulaye Faye back and that gives us more options to tidy up that area.”

Sam was pleased no doubt that Mark Viduka’s second class goal of the game in the 87th minute saved Newcastle yesterday from an embarrassing defeat. The game and the performance certainly disappointed the fans. But it was the manner in which Newcastle played yesterday that no doubt has lost Sam quite some support amongst the Newcastle faithful. In short, it was a terrible performance from the lads and nothing to do with any lack of effort.

Sam continued:

“We are very disappointed, “”But we are on a run because we are undefeated. We should have beaten Derby and it’s our own fault all together that we didn’t.”

“We know we should have won this game but we haven’t lost it and now we have to go forward with our undefeated run.”

Well, we’d never thought of that one in our demise after the game yesterday. We are still on an unbeaten run although draws at home against bottom of the league teams is not what we really expect.

But a win and an attacking performance against Wigan on Boxing Day is what we need from Sam and the lads. Yesterday’s game is one all fans will want to forget fairly quickly, apart from Viduka’s two excellent strikes. Good on you Mark.

Comments very welcome.

He can spin it all he likes but we’re not fools, it is clear that through his ineptitude we are failing to function as a team. And the last three results are down to last minute luck, and dare I say it, not really deserved on the balance of play.
I hope Ashely and Mort recognise the ambition in the other clubs, particularly Tottenham and take decisive executive action – that’s what they’re supposed to be good at, isn’t it?

I knew he’d pull out the unbeaten in 4 games line – what a joke, this is making me depressed the stupid fat get
wtf is he on, scraping wins against Fulham and Brum and drawing agains Derby and Arsenal at home (even Souness and Roeder managed to draw with Arse at home)
The players must be well p!ssed of (well apart from Smith, Barton & Butt who can do no wrong in his eyes but nowt right in everyone elses)

It’s pointless giving Sam any money in Jan his ‘paid for ‘ signings are a joke

    Smith – waste of money
    Barton – waste of money
Rozenhal – starting to look like a waste of money
Enrique – waste of money (mainly because Sam now won’t play him)

To be fair I thought Barton would have been a good signing but he has looked absolutely sh!te, he wants far to much time on the ball and just goes round kicking the opposition behind the refs back

Out of everyone he’s brought in only Beye / Faye have looked good enough for the prem and he knew Faye from Bolton

Still on a run! Thats it as far as i am concerned. Sam Allerdyce has definately lost it. Go back to Bolton Sam. 4 games unbeaten may be good enough for them, but do not take the pisss out of us NUFC fans with stupid comments like that.
We played terrible, we lacked ambition, and we lacked any kind of imagination. Have you brainwashed all these players.
Good Bye Sam, you have shit in your own nest.

I cannot believe he said that, all season i have been behind Sam saying give him time, he is the right man, he will come good in the end, but this is just too much for me too take, this is just wrong he needs to go, and i know we need stability and need a manager for the long term and i know we all really want that but it has to be a manager that is gonna take us forward and sam is just not that man! BRING BACK KING KEV!

We should still be on a winning run, it was derby for christs sake.

Smith is pointless ruining our tem and some of our good players he leaves on the bench will leave cos of it.

its not about giving players until wigan to get all points tom toon, its about giving managers at least a season to get it right, or show signs of getting it right. what do you mean the “right” man? who are you to say who is the “right” man? How about we stop slagging off our manager and get behind out team (YES OUR WHOLE TEAM

again as i said somewhere else, if you cover that derby game up with comments like that, not only are you kidding yourselves but it reeks of a person who aint grounded in reality.

the opnly thing to do is to boo more im afraid and no, i dont think we should get behind our team, especially when we play like that, my primary school team were better!!! maybe standing up with our backs to the game, thatll put the message across. we needs a banner proclaiming we want to see some football too!

Ya, we just about, undeservingly, DREW with the Premiership whipping boys Derby. Lets shout it from the roof tops. Sam, just a quick note on this. This you can’t spin. Nothing you say can justify THAT performance.

“we are on a run because we are undefeated”

that, is hilarious. we’re undefeated, thanks to a split second of individual class from one of the oldest guys in our squad, to snatch a late equaliser from the club bottom of the league.

i’d have been unbeleivably embarrased had we lost, the same applies to the fact that we drew.

What a miserable Christmas it must be at NUFC. I can’t believe SA says that we are still unbeaten, for Christ sake the last team in the EPL Derby County reached more than 50% of their points against us, isn’t that awful. They scored 3 time away in totall => 2 times at St James is this to be proud of????????

And then all the fat guy says is we are not beaten the last 3 games; no indeed but let’s be honnest:
    – Birmigham at home has to deliver 3 points every time = we got very lucky that Beye scored in the 91 minute. The 2nd half Birmingham just was the better team.
    – Fulham away is difficult, but they are in a very bad situation ATM and don’t have got confidence so we should attack from minute 1 till minute 90. We got a result okay in the 92nd minute out of a penalty kick.
    – Derby County at home always has to give 3 points!!! Again we came 2 times behind and near the end we got very lucky to draw this average team.
