Taylor Confident of Chelsea Result

Steven Taylor is going to be a very important player for Newcastle for the rest of the season, and he today called on his Newcastle United team-mates to produce a performance at Chelsea tomorrow, as good as they gave against Arsenal earlier in the month.

Steven Taylor – good result possible at Chelsea tomorrow

Steven is nothing if not positive, and he insists that Newcastle have what it takes to get a result at Stamford Bridge tomorrow. And he’s dead right to say the team must draw on that spirited display against the high-flying Arsenal side recently at St. James’ Park.

Steven told the official Newcastle United Web Site today:

“We went into the Arsenal game on the back of a couple of bad results and the response from the lads was excellent,” “We got a 1-1 draw but really we should have won the game.”

“That performance and result marked a bit of a turnaround for us and we won the next two.” “Unfortunately we’ve let that slip with bad results against Derby and Wigan.”

“But we know we have to do better and come out fighting.” “That starts in the next game at Chelsea and I’m confident we can get something.”

“We showed against Arsenal that we can do it against the top teams and we have to do the same on Saturday.”

There were two bits of good news at Wigan on Boxing Day.

  • Damien Duff lasted the whole game and showed glimpses of his old touches. He will only get better as he plays more often
  • The Newcastle defense looked particularly strong with Faye and Taylor in the central positions

If we can play solidly at the back tomorrow then anything is possible. Although a win is maybe too much wishful thinking, anything can happen in this game of football, as we all know – and keep finding out.    😀

What do you think will happen tomorrow at Stamford Bridge?

Taylorr may be correct, we may get a result here.
Mind you at the rate Chelseas players are dropping we will be playing their reserve team.
And, chelsea have one of the smallest squads in the premiership so they are all but on the bones of their arses now.

You’ve got to feel sorry for Barton. The poor bloke is obviously retarded and can only express himself in one way. This is the man who accused fans of being ‘vicious’ for shouting insults. I bet the poor bloke he ‘allegedly’ beat up outside McDonalds at 5.00 in the morning has a different idea of what vicious means! Sack the little weasle, he’s a disgrace to the shirt!

I want to believe him I do, but they say crap like this every time before every match and yet 90 odd mins later were on here complaining about what a crap performance it was. But for some strange reason, I actually think we can get some sort of respectable result against Chelsea.

Haha 3-0? Lets hope it doesn’t get that bad. Don’t mind loosing tomorrow but I can’t bare watch another effortless display.

Steven Taylor – before making such promises please remember that temptation greets you like a naughty friend.

I would hope a win or a draw with Chelsea tomorrow. But surely a draw with Chelsea’s reserve wont satisfy me enough. 😀
