It looks like Sam Allardyce may be ready to let Turkish International Emre leave Newcastle United, since the Turk has struggled to get starts under Big Sam.
Emre – is he really going to leave Newcastle?
Emre is struggling to be fit for Saturday’s trip to Manchester United but there are a number of clubs that would be willing to take the Turk, including Bayern Munich, his old club Galatasaray and Monaco.
We wouldn’t be too happy to see Emre go, because he has the class that can turn games, which is something not all teams in the Premiership have. Especially those in the lower half of the table – which may be telling us something. Exactly who Sam will replace the creative midfielder with will be interesting, because we don’t want him replaced with a Butt or Geremi type player.
Sam talked today about letting players go:
“I do not want to lose any players really, but I’m in the same boat as everyone else,†“If a large enough offer is made for one of my fringe players, and we can use the money to bring in a replacement who will strengthen the side, we will look at it. “
“It all depends on how much is offered and who else is available.” “I certainly do not want to lose anyone and not replace them, we do not have a big enough squad to do that. It would have to be a sizable offer to tempt me.â€
Sam cannot bring in just grunt players who will play 100% for the club but have no creativity whatsoever. That’s the type of team he built at Bolton, but he now has the funds to buy some good players and top sell the few creative players we have will just not do. We think it will be a dangerous move if Big Sam let’s Emre go in January, because he’s a skilled player and can still do a job at the club.
