Sir John Hall – astounded by Keegan Return

John Hall sold his family’s majority stake in Newcastle United to Mike Ashley last year – and of course it was Hall who brought the 56-year-old to St James’ Park for his first spell in charge in 1992. Hall then poured money into the club to the brink of the title in 1995/96.

Sir John Hall told BBC Radio 5 Live this afternoon:

“We’ve got a magnificent stadium. The whole basis of the club is there” “It’s just been getting the manager right. Hopefully that will happen. He’s given everyone hope again.”

“I was astounded. I never saw him coming back into the game but now he’s made that decision, it’s a fascinating appointment.”

“There is a buzz about the place,” “I was there and he’s certainly given people hope again.”

“There’s a great expectancy he can revive the club as he did the first time he came as a manager.”  ‘s great news for the club and I hope he can do it.”

I was playing FIFA 08 last night and during a lull in a game, the fake announcers starting talking about how Newcastle has a great tradition of managers including Keegan and I nearly wet myself. Then the game went on to say that Newcastle fans put to much pressure on their teams and managers. The whole thing was very metaphysical.

As much as I like SJH and what he did for our club, it’s about time he, and plenty of others stopped sticking their noses in what they don’t need to be.

SJH and the rest of his family got a lot more out of the Toon than they put in, that’s for sure.

Vermin the lot of them. So glad their gone. Even if Keegan fails, it won’t do us any harm. The takeover was so important for us. We were doomed with that crowd.

It is only astounding to JH that KK came back because he left because of his false promises, it is not astounding to others that a man such as MA has the ability to do such things and to date is true to his word.
JH would never have sat amongst the fans, he was only interested in his bank balance. So why cant all these that have gotten it wrong over the years keep their mouths firmly shut, instead of trying to take some glory for KKs return.
