Dream World For Steven Taylor

We can just imagine how young Steven Taylor feels about Kevin Keegan’s return to Newcastle United.

Steven Taylor – used to watch the entertainers while still very young

During Kevin’s fabulous reign at the club from 1992 – 1997,  Steven was just a youngster from 6 years old to 11 years old, but he still got to watch the entertainers,  from the Sir John Hall Stand over 10 years ago.

Now he gets to play for the great man this afternoon against Bolton Wanderers. Not surprisingly it must seem like a bit of a dream to the youngster.

Steven said yesterday:

“It’s amazing. The fans are on a high and the Keegan days are back.”

“I used to watch from the Sir John Hall Stand when players such as Les Ferdinand, David Ginola, Tino Asprilla and Philippe Albert were playing.

“It was an exciting time and that’s what the fans want to see.

“The roof is going to lift off on Saturday and we just can’t wait to get out there.”

It will be interesting to see how Taylor reacts to the coaching of Kevin Keegan, but he has to a a stalwart in the new Newcastle United Kevin is building. We don’t want to leak too many goals this time around under Keegan and that’ll be one of Taylor’s jobs – to look after the defense.
Comments very welcome.

🙂 This could be a problem because taylor is still young and if he makes mistakes he might be dropped so i wouldnt want the team relying on steven to defend.

lol tiddleybonks it’s a defensive unit imo thats has been chopped and changed all season. No wonder Shay hasn’t been confident in it.

Taylor is backed by many people that know as a great prospect for England so I must assume he has much potential and hope he can make cb HIS position for us.

It must be a dream come true for any home grown player to play for KK @ NUFC, if you notice KK’s ex players are so jealous ( like Rob Lee, Barton etc) that they are not playing now !

Let’s hope this is the lift for Taylor to continue his career at Newcastle and show the ability, concentration and consistency he’s already shown signs of.
