Newcastle United Signing Fabio Zamblera

Newcastle, as expected, are bringing 17 year-old Italian, Fabio Zamblera, to the club before the transfer window closes tonight.

Fabio Zamblera – outstanding Italian talent

As we reported yesterday, Zamblera is at Italian club Atalanta, and Newcastle were completing the negotiations with his club today.

Fabio currently plays for the Italian Under-18 side and at 6’3” tall is a powerful player, who can score goals. It turns out that Newcastle’s new technical director Jeff Vetere has lined up the move for the very highly-rated striker. Fabio has agreed personal terms and a four-and-a-half year deal, and has passed a medical at St James’ Park. 😀

Certainly we are bringing in some great young players to the club as witnessed last night when the Reserves put in an excellent performance to easily beat North Shields 3-0, and we have all 3 new youngsters, Tozer, Boeteng and Kadar playing the full 90 minutes. In that game, 18 year-old local boy Mark Doninger scored 2 great goals, the second one not unlike Flamini’s goal on Tuesday night at the Emirates (sorry to mention that again).

It’s just a pity we haven’t brought in some senior players during the window, but these youngsters are going to stand us in good stead for the future.

Comments are always welcome – just keep the language decent for the kids.

this is off the subject but have you read this,, how cringe worth is anal Oliver..

I have just found this on the Arsenal website from Alan Oliver.

“”I’m absolutely in love with Arsenal. When we came down to the Emirates, the whole set-up is fantastic, the press room, the way we are treated, everything. The stadium is magnificent and there were 60,000 there even though everyone knew Arsenal wouldn’t have the first team out. I went back on the Tube at Finsbury Park and I saw all the young kids with their Arsenal tops on and I just felt that Newcastle United are a million years away from Arsenal. Ever since that night I’ve been a massive Arsenal fan and Newcastle fans seem to think the same.”

This is a fine example of his journalistic failings and arse licking of the highest order.

    Out with Oliver!

there is even a video wanting him out!

people should email this plonker on alan.oliver@ncjmedia.co.uk

i have on a number of occasions… i also emailed mick dennis of the express and at least he had the balls to reply… Alan Oliver needs abuse!! enough to make him retire at least!!

The Magpies have struck a deal with Serie A side Atalanta for young forward Fabio Zamblera, who agreed personal terms, passed a medical and he could even be looking to break into the United side in the coming months if KK wants to give chances to him and other few promising young guns!

Good news, 3 young payers is a good result from Jan in my book. Keep The Faith!!

If this Italian lad is any good he may do well as a pair with Martins in the future?

Hadrian, why shouldn’t these players be ready for years? If good enough, they should be ready to at least put on the subs bench at 19.

I don’t know if it’s a fluke – or lack of fear because of the young age – but Lua Lua has looked amongst the brightest players on the field when he’s been given a few minutes.

I hope we sign a few more.

This boy and Andy Carrol up front. Bring on the long ball!

All we need now is a couple of midfielders who are good at long shots and volleys, and a couple of defenders who are accurate at hitting long.

    Long Ball STYLE!!!! LOVE IT!!!

Seriously, he’s a big lad, as are Tozer, Kadar and Baheng. I like the fact we’re signing big players, thats the way forward. Tune up their technical ability and hopefully they’ll turn out good. Or they’ll fetch a nice profit once we sell them!

Good piece of business by Chris Mort and co. These sort of signings excite me. Imagine if we could have a World Class Youth Reserves Team. Where hot prospects from around the world would be playing brilliantly for our reserves trying to break into our first team.

toon1978 – All of the youngsters WON’t get into our first team, the ones who don’t get sold for a profit! Arsenal have done it plenty of times, thats the whole point of the strategy, either first teamers or profit makers!!!!
