Keegan Has New Challenge with N’Zogbia

One real surprise Newcastle fans had yesterday, was that young Frenchman Charles N’Zogbia may not be as settled as we thought at Newcastle United.

Charles N’Zogbia – Keegan will bring out attacking flair

The player’s agent Willie McKay went public yesterday and said that Newcastle were in negotiations with Spurs for the Frenchman. But Tottenham, to their credit, immediately denied they were in for the former Le Havre youngster.

However, there’s rarely smoke without some fire and we think there are a number of London clubs just eying the impressive young Frenchman. We think Tottenham may have been feeling out Charles, maybe for the summer transfer window.

But Charles N’Zogbia, along with Milner, Taylor, Enrique and the other youngsters we have brought in, is where the future lies for Newcastle.

If we cannot keep these young stars we’ll be in trouble. But at least the club now knows Charles may still be unsettled, and we have nobody better at the helm than Kevin Keegan to deal with this situation.

We’ll have to rely on Kevin’s legendary man management skills, not only to have Charles settle down at the club, but also to bring out the natural attacking flair Charles has, when he plays for the Magpies.

A player like Charles should have a real ball playing under Kevin Keegan.

We like Charles, but he’s also a very quiet boy, and it’s sometimes hard for people to know exactly what he’s thinking. It’s important we don’t lose him in the summer, that’s for sure.

Comments and opinions are very welcome.

Managers are there to improve players. Nzogbia probably reckons if all my manager is going to tell me: is to go out there and pass as best as i can then i’m better off somewhere else!

Very good technical players are attracted to excellent technical and sophisticated managers, which Ramos is, unfortunately for us. As for our own manager we all know what is tactical and technical abilities are.

some idiot retard who used to/still does comment on here tried to claim that Slavkovski of Inter was the next big thing since Ronaldo and we should have signed for upto 10m. Well he signed for Sheff Utd. So many people talk utter bollocks on here.

Do any REAL geordies comment on here?

    Complete rubbish.
Don’t believe everything you read in the papers.
It might not be best for your site Ed or the media, but I like the way the new admin works. No leaks about what is happening. Just solid business.
Anyone know about Rozehnal leaving until it after it happened.
Or even about the Swedish GK?
Much better than FFS regime where Anal Oliver got told before the players did….

I don’t think the ‘smoke without fire’ rule really applies any more in this game. I suspect it’s total and utter fabrication, with the possible origin being with that s*%$*-stirring agent of Zog’s. I doubt if anyone at Spurs has had anything to do with it and it’s just some journo-git making up for a lack of real news to write about.

Willie McKay is always at stuff like that. God I hate that guy!

I hope there is nothing to it as we should be looking to bring high quality lads like N’Zogbia through every year and really start to challenge in a few years time.

It would be a bad sign if we start letting them leave after we have turned them into top Premiership players.

He is definitely the future of the team. After Emre got sent off against Stoke, N’Zogbia was just immense and so mature, sitting in front of the defence and passing out. His movement was also good and he was instrumental in how we dominated the eleven of Stoke.

Sadly he’s not recreated that in the last few games, but Bolton was soon after Stoke and then we had the Arsenal double header. The game against Boro will prove more fruitful for Zog, and I’ve got a feeling he’s going to have another great performance on Sunday.

Kash2 , i guess your talking about me, you mug. Goran Slavkosvki was Swedens biggest talent a year or so. That’s why Inter snapped him up, and he was touted by everyone as the next Ibrahimovic.
It’s not my problem he turned out to be a dud.

So if you know nowt about footy that you should shut the feck up.

    easy lads, we’re all mags.

i reckon if Zoggy wants to leave, then let him – he’s earned that much. i’ve never heard him complain in the press about being at the toon, particularly during the dodgy formations of allardyce (please correct me if i’m wrong..), plus he’s been one of our better players of late and as far i can judge, always given 100% in the games he played.

maybe others disagree, but i wouldn’t blame, but god, i hope he stays on for at least another season

But the agent represents the player/client and the agent is the player’s mouth piece. If the player feels the agent is misrepresenting his views he should slap him down or even contradict him publicly.

Take a peak at this boyos…..hear hear in my opinion (from NUFC.COM)

Enough patronising bollocks from every man and his dog masquerading as news or comment on events in this region, this city and this club – you simply haven’t got a f**king clue what you’re on about.

Try reporting the facts instead of what you or your London masters would like to hear.

Try getting past the KK “Messiah”, “Second Coming”, “impatient fans” – all cliches invented by the media, not the supporters.

Try seeing past brain dead Vox Pops or meaningless online polls as spurious evidence that the lies you pen have any basis in local opinion.

Try hiding the regional prejudice that would see you branded as racist, were it to be presented as news about other nationalities.

For a club that isn’t “big” (whatever that means), it doesn’t half get a lot of coverage….

To anyone still paying money for The Mirror, The Sun, The News of The World, The Guardian, The Telegraph, Express and The Mail, why not just read their continual anti-Toon tirades online instead of shelling out for the privilege of being insulted and/or patronised?

Exhibit A: The scandalous Sun and Mirror front pages this week with Keegan / £100m / Wise concoctions.

Exhibit B: The Mail’s allegedly funny Dennis Wise diary stumbles to day 3 here. Somebody is getting paid for writing that.

Exhibit C: Victoria Derbyshire, Nicky Campbell, Alan Green, Eamonn Holmes, Clem, Gabrielle Marcoti, Terry Butcher, Steve Claridge: you’re the shite, you’re the shite of Radio 5. Bigots all.

Support the Toon…and don’t believe the tripe.

Now let’s just get back to the football. Please.

They’ve obviously not been on this site then.

    2. Try hiding the regional prejudice that would see you branded as racist, were it to be presented as news about other nationalities.

That is just laughable coming from a couple of blokes who tried to justify calling Mido a suicide bomber just because he was Muslim.

And to cap it all they ran an article a couple of days later titled “Given is a packie basher” – just so they could wind people up.

Yeah, very clever boys. Couple of brainless morons if you ask me and that’s why I don’t bother looking at their fleabag site any more.

This place is much better. Cheers Ed! 🙂

Absolutely LooneyToon – I will be cheering the lads on against boro more vociferously than ever!

A win is just what everyone needs right now and I fully expect our boys to deliver.

I do wish that people would open their eyes a bit and realise that NUFC is not subject to some kind of media witchhunt.

We get so much attention because we create so many problems for ourselves. It’s just that most fans only read Toon stories and so to them it probably seems that we are the only club that is ever written about. If you look though, Liverpool have been getting it a lot worse than us of late (which I have been loving by the way).

Zog is on his way to becomming a Prima Donna it seems, and while every big team needs a couple of those, u still need a manager who can handle them. I beleive KK can handle a Prima donna but perhaps he is too late to do anything about Zog. If we get some really big names in the summer and Keegan get the team going for the rest of the season, he might stay. But if he dont, a top class midfielder will replace him no doubt so im not that worried, we should only want players who are 100% focused on NUFC and that applies to Oba too

I’m not Geordie either but still support my team and have done since being a boy when all my mates where man united or liverpool (the glory hunting w”nkers). I pay my dues to this team and watch both live and on the telly. I’m elated when we win and seriously wounded when we lose.
I don’t understand what all this “you’re not a Geordie” business is about, but I do understand that if a fan from anywhere in the world buys an official piece of merchandise, then revenue from that sale goes to the club coffers. We’re all Black and White and tha’ts what matters.
If you don’t agree with someone elses view then “You’re not a Geordie” is more child’s point of view and not constructive point of view.

If Zog was to leave I would not be happy. He is one of our most flexible and talented players.
