Fabio Capello - has cut the squad from 30 to 23
England manager Fabio Capello has chosen experience over youth, for his final 23-man squad to face Switzerland this coming Wednesday night in his very first game in charge of England.
Fabio last night cut seven players from his provisional squad of 30 announced a few days ago, two of them, Emile Heskey and Ledley King, are due to injuries recently sustained.
The other five to miss out are Curtis Davies (Aston Villa), who had his very first call up, Glen Johnson (Portsmouth), Nicky Shorey (Reading), Michael Carrick (Manchester United) and Stewart Downing (Middlesbrough).
