Keegan talked to Newcastle World TV and has been impressed with some of the young talent the club has brought in during January.
Tamas Kadar – already impressed Keegan big time
And one of those young stars who has caught Kevin’s eye, both in training and in his performances for Newcastle Reserves, is Hungarian Tamas Kadar. Tamas is just 17 years-old, yet is already a Hungary under-21 International who signed for Newcastle during the January transfer window.
Tamas doesn’t speak English yet, but that hasn’t stopped him from looking very impressive since he first joined the club in January. The Newcastle manager was among the crowd at St.James’ Park last Monday when the Hungarian put in an absolute flawless performance for the Reserves in the 1-1 draw with Man City.
Keegan told Newcastle World TV:
“Tamas Kadar has taken everything in his stride.†“He does not speak the language but he is learning one or two things.–But on a football field where there is a language its own entire he is saying all the right things.â€
“We have also got Fabio Zamblera (who signed from Atalanta last month) joining in now and he is only 17.â€
“He’s been playing against the likes of Steven Taylor and Abdoulaye Faye in training and is learning something new every day.”
“It’s really up to the youngsters to prove they can be part of the team, and in our practice game last week two of the four best players in the game were youngstersâ€
Tamas was highly recommended before he ever came to Newcastle United and he will be on display tonight for our second string against Liverpool Reserves at St. James’ Park kick off 7 PM.
And it would not surprise us if the 6’2″ center-back makes the substitutes bench, before the season is finished. He may even make his first team debut before the end of the season too, he’s that good.
