Kevin Keegan has had 2 weeks to train the Newcastle players ready for the tough game coming up against the Red Devils on Saturday at St. James’ Park in a 5:15 PM kick off.
Kevin Keegan – can he work his magic on Newcastle?
Manchester United looked awesome against Arsenal last weekend, and took the Gunners apart. The result could also have been much ngreater than 4-0, once Arsenal were reduced to 10 men.
Kevin told Newcastle World TV:
“We have to try to get the balance right in the break and I believe it will be a good thing,”“By the time we come to Manchester Utd we would have had everyone together for the first time.â€
“Geremi is now back and I’ve now met all of the lads and have got to know everyone that little bit better during the break.†“The lads have been very focused and we’ve got through some good work.â€
“Because the deadline has passed, we have got what we have until the end of the season and we have to try to make the best of that.†“We need a win. That’s all we lack at the moment.â€
“The confidence will come flowing back and the football will get better and the players will start to trust each other that little bit more.”
It will be a sell-out again on Saturday and Newcastle fans will hope to see a vast improvement in Newcastle’s recent pathetic form, after Keegan and his staff have now had some time to work with the team.
But it’s a tough game. A draw would be good and a win would be fantastic.
In fact a win would really ignite the fans – maybe we can just do it.

Comment #7i think if kk does that pose at the start of the game and we come out to the micheal jackson song whose bad. that should ensure 3 points lol. In the real world i think it will be a game were players arent judged on the scoreline, but their performace and commitment. I cant see us beating utd, but the least we should expect is that the players give 110% and are first to every ball!
Go on da toon!!!!

Comment #10There is absolutely no chance in hell we’ll get something from this match, thinking otherwise is completely deluded. Hope we don’t go 0-10 down, enough said

Comment #13Well, they stuffed us 6-0 last time, so anything less than 5-0 is an improvement!!!!
I think we will see a much better performance on Saturday after 2 weeks of solid training together. If we dont, then questions have to be asked about the squad and the coaching!!!
Wouldnt expect anything better than a draw, but would “love it, just love it” if we managed to sneak all 3 points!!! lol
