Newcastle vs Blackburn – Match Preview

nufc-crest.png blackburn_crest.png

It’s an important and rather vital game against Blackburn at St. James’ Park tomorrow and a win is what we’d like to see to take us away from the relegation zone.
Newcastle still have injuries unfortunately and we’ll still have both Emre and Viduka missing for the game tomorrow. Defenders Stephen Carr and of course Peter Ramage are both still not available.

The team selection will again be important and this is the team we’d like to see Kevin filed in this important game:

Harper
Beye Taylor Faye Enrique
Milner N’Zogbia Geremi Duff
Owen Carroll
Subs: Forster Cacapa Butt Barton Martins

However, we’d be highly surprised if Kevin picks that team, but we think Jose Enrique and Andy Carroll both deserve a start, simply because they cannot do any worse than others who have already been given a start.

Enrique must be given a chance at left back against David Bentley, and we can then use Charles in midfield as the attacking part of a midfield partnership with Cameroon International Geremi.

Both Butt and Barton have been out of form recently and could do with a rest. The same goes for Alan Smith up front and we’d like to see Andy Carroll start with Owen. When Andy did get on last week he looked impressive, and set up our only goal for Abdoulaye Faye, due to his aerial capabilities.

On the Blackburn side of things Rovers beat Bolton 4-1 at Ewood Park on Sunday to end a winless run of four games. David Dunn (calf). Andre Ooijer (hamstring) and Ryan Nelsen (hamstring) are all doubts for the game.   Martin Olsson (ankle), Keith Treacy (back) and Sergio Peter (thigh) are all out and will miss the game.

The referee is Rob Styles, who can be sometimes very strange with his decisions, depending on how he is feeling.
We need a win – that’s all we want tomorrow – all 3 points. But it will in no way be an easy game against a rugged and hard to beat Blackburn Rovers side.

What do you think? What team should Kevin play?

Could you tell me 4 games for this weekend from any league where there will be 2 goals at least.
They dont have to be from the same league.
So i need a total of 4 games from any league.
    Thank you.

    Geremi Beye Faye Enrique
    Milner Barton N’Zogbia
    Smith
    Owen Carroll

subs: Martins, Edgar, Duff, Butt, Forster

an attacking lineup w/ Geremi and Enrique overlapping from RB and LB to swing in crosses. Milner and N’Zogbia running with the ball. with the work rate of Smith and Carroll, their defense won’t have time on the ball to build up attack.

This seems to be what happens every Friday night. Ed tells us how important the game is how we’re desperate for points and how he thinks we’ll get something from the game. We then spend hours saying which team should be picked and then come match day KK picks the team we all new he would,we then get hammered

    harper

    beye taylor cacapa enrique
    faye
    barton
    milner zog
    owen martins

    forster carrol edgar smith duff

dont think we should play carrol is inexperience would show against the likes of samba think we need to play behind and with pace

barton was playing crap when he got back from his injury for 5 or 6 games then was getting good when got nicked think he a bit like owen.

i think duff on the bench because if we are drawing or losing and need a new spark or someone fresh he would do a good job and feel people are trying to shoe horn duff and zog in same team

Put this on the previous page and everyone came here so here it is again……..

Does anybody think that it might just all come together at some point and theres a team out there who is gonna get a hiding?

We are not gonna be world beaters with this squad but if Keegan plays the right team (and that means putting a left back in a left backs position, putting Zog at inside left next to Barton and either Carroll (1st choice) or Viduka (2nd and fat) next to either Owen or Martins with the other on the bench) ive a funny feeling that someone is in for a kicking.

Or is it the fact ive been drinking Stella since 4pm?

Not worried about Viduka not being fit as Smithy has been playing well up front and we have Martins and Carroll available too.
    Expecting us to win tomorrow…..

if u judge smith on the basis of goals,
    he doesnt deserve a position.
but currently hes doing the hold up well up front, and make space for mainly owen and duff.
i think we should have different arrangement this week. the old one doesnt work.
