Newcastle vs Blackburn – Teams – Enrique Starts

nufc-crest.png blackburn_crest.png

Keven Keegan has made a couple of changes from the side which was beaten by Manchester United last weekend.

Jose Enrique comes in for Charles N’Zogbia at left back and Charles drops to the bench. Steve Harper of course replaces the injured Shay Given in goal. Jose will probably be marking Blackburn’s impressive David Bentley.

Damien Duff plays against the club he spent 7 seasons with, and Nicky Butt, Joey Barton and James Milner complete our midfield four. With Emre and Viduka still out injured, Kevin had his hands tied a little as far as the team selection for this week.

Oba Martins returns to the bench with Alan Smith, as half expected, again partnering Newcastle captain Michael Owen up front.

Jose Enrique – gets a rare start today

It seems that Kevin is keeping faith with most of the players that have failed to capture a win for him in the last few games. We’re pleased to see 22 year old Jose given a chance, and we trust he will take it.

Andy Carroll is again on the bench, and will no doubt be given a run out in the second half. Andy did very well last week and set up Abdoulaye Faye’s goal nicely. Fraser Forster comes in as substitute goalkeeper with Shay being out injured.

Charles N’Zogbia who makes a rare appearance on the bench will be useful as a substitute. He can come on and give some penetration up front if we need that during the game, and we’re sure he’ll get a good reception from the Newcastle faithful.

Come on the lads!

TEAMS:

Newcastle United FC:

Crap team. Enrique in is right decision but why not but Zog in centre mid at home. Maybe Oba shouldn’t come straight back to start but I’d like to see more of Carroll.

Butt, Barton and Smith, can’t believe they still get in the team every game.

I fear for the worse with the likes of barton, butt and smith in the first team again. But i still hope a narrow win for my beloved newcastle. I predict a 2-1 victory today.

Hes looking for some balls in midfield but a shame one bad game get charles on the bench but ten get smith a starting spot.

Maybe a not so hard opponent will do the lads good and get the ones who have not been okaying so well a chance to get some confidence.

Good luck lads I’ll be watching a 1.55 am in half an hour. Dont disappoint me.

The game is showing on fox sports live in Australia. Dont know if you boys can plug in but ill let you know how it goes

Atleast Enrique’s being given a chance but shame that Butt n Smith are apparantly our best options, Barton too !

Lets hope for a good game and all the training will hopefully show on match day 🙂

N.zogbia is drop as he is unsettled in the team but the problem is that we are seriously lacking pace in the team with the likes of martins and n.zogbia on the bench

Glad Enrique’s in. Still baffled by Smith & Butt…

Speedy Martins and N’Zogbia as late subs when, hopeufully, Blackburn’s defenders are tired?

Good to know that KK sees Alan Smith as worthy of a place in front of Oba today.

Barton and Butt are obviously better than Zog as well eh??

I hope we win today (as per usual) but it’s hard to be optimistic when I see the sh1te line up.

    KK is a twat.What a f*cking bad lineup.

Taylor: worst defender always plays; McCartey will make him ridiculous
Barton: hope he had a few drinks before kick off; what are we doing by letting him play every f*cking game
    Butt: where is Geremi
Smith: and Oba on the bench for him.

KK is as bad as SA (if not worse; cause he sees things are going wrong but he does not chance anything); he plays the same sh¨t players and for me he has lost all credibility. POOR POOR POOR team again. One little sunshine is Enrique who starts.
