There’s some good news on the Newcastle front for a change as it looks like James Milner will be fit for the Birmingham game.
James Milner – looks like he’ll be ready for Birmingham
Newcastle United’s long time and very recognizable physiotherapist Derek Wright told the Evening Chronicle today:
“James had an X-ray after the match on Saturday and, fortunately, this showed there was no break and no damage to the metatarsal.â€
“But his foot is badly bruised and he will have a scan in the next 48 hours which will give us a more thorough investigation.â€
“We put him on crutches to go home to Newcastle so that there was no weight going on the injury, but he has always been a quick healer in the past and he has the desire to play.â€
“And while injuries of this type can keep some players out for a couple of weeks, we are hoping that he will be OK for Birmingham next Monday night.â€
Derek Wright – great servant of the club
That’s good news because James is a good lad and gives his all for the team. It would be nice if we could see one or two of those thundering goals he scored last season.
James has appeared 136 times for Newcastle, and he’s had 98 starts for the club. He just turned 22 years old last January so he will get better.
