Keegan Wants Blackburn Display and 3 Points Tomorrow

One of the clubs Kevin has managed to success, Fulham, are the visitors tomorrow, in what is again another very important game for Newcastle, and not surprisingly Kevin wants a very good display and all 3 points.

Kevin Keegan – read my expression Oh no. I’ve told them a 100 times! 😀

Kevin is still looking for his very first victory since returning to the club, which is simply amazing. The Newcastle manager said today:

“I will tell the players only to win – I don’t even want to think about defeat, it’s a game we want to win.” “The mood has been excellent and there is plenty of people who care at this club.“There’s a lot of good things here.” “We can’t do anything about the games that have gone but we can do something about this one.”

“It’s a big game, Steve Harper said Birmingham was one of the biggest games in recent history which is quite a statement but he wasn’t far wrong.” “We didn’t lose and got a point now Fulham is a chance to build on that.” “When you start winning it’s contagious, losing is the same.”

“The players stuck at it and did little things to stop us from going 2-0 behind on Monday.” “In earlier games that hasn’t been the case, once you come in at half-time 2-0 down it’s a massive gap to turn around.”

“At half-time we had a chance to regroup and have a chat.” “And in the second half the performance was as good an away performance you could hope to get.” “If we do that at home we’ve every chance of getting a result.”

“Fulham have taken four points from the last two games and went to Blackburn and took a deserved point.” “They’ve beaten Everton at home and everybody knows how tough that is, you have to respect that.”

“The reality is now that we are trying to win the mini league down at the bottom.” “It’s not the way everybody wanted it at the start of the season but it is where we are.” “We are focused on that and as far as Birmingham goes, it was a good start but we have to build on that.” “If we cannot then it will be a waste of time.”

“I want another Blackburn type performance at home.” “Although we lost we played very well and we deserved to win.” “We’re a team that needs a victory and have done for a long while.” “I can see there is a determination from the players.”

There will be big celebrations, both at the end of the game, and on Saturday night, if we can finally get that first league win in over 3 months, and the very first one since Keegan came back to the club for a 3rd time.

We have a good feeling that if we can win on Saturday, the next win will not be far away. It’s just a feeling. 😀

Comments welcome.

Its not just about the players its about us as well – if I haven’t lost my voice by the end of the game I’ll feel I’ve let the lads down.
This won’t be an easy game……

like we all said, 4 points was the minium we could afford to get in our next 2 games. win tomorrow and we have achieved that. when you look at the fixtures tomorrow, reading v birmingham, bolton v man city, aston villa sunderland, blackburn v wigan, if results do go our way and we do beat fulham which is a must win game, the gap from that final relegation place would be up to 7 points. however, after watching man u vrs bolton the other night, I can actually see bolton winning tomorrow, which would mean either reading or sunderland could potentially in the bottom 3 tomorrow night. But all we have to do is concentrate on our own game. its in our own hands. failure to get anything at all tomorrow, would be a diaster. but after the 2nd half performance on monday night which was the best we have put together for a while, we can beat fulham 2mora. an early goal would calm the nerves.

Hey KK i think that for our first win you should get dressed nicely.
Put a nice suit or somethin because the way you look during the match it looks like you came back from jogging or somethin.
