Not surprisingly, Newcastle United will start with the same side which drew at Birmingham City on Monday night.
So Newcastle will continue with their more attacking formation of 4-3-3 with Michael Owen, Oba Martins and Mark Viduka up front. Joey Barton, Geremi and Nicky Butt continue to make up the midfield three.
David Edgar comes in as one of the substitutes to the exclusion of Brazilian Cacapa. We’re pleased to see David possibly even get in the game at some point today. He’s played very well for Newcastle Reserves all season.
We had even expected to see Senegalese Lamine Diatta as one of the substitutes, since he played the full game for the Reserves at Bolton on Tuesday night.
With Peter Ramage having also come back Keegan has Faye, Taylor, Diatta, Cacapa, Ramage and Edgar to choose from for his central defensive pair.
TEAMS
Newcastle United: Steve Harper, Habib Beye, Jose Enrique, Abdoulaye Faye, Steven Taylor, Geremi, Nicky Butt, Joey Barton, Michael Owen (c), Mark Viduka, Oba Martins
Subs: Fraser Forster, David Edgar, Alan Smith, Andy Carroll, Charles N’Zogbia
Fulham: Kasey Keller, Paul Konchesky, Paul Stalteri, Brede Hangeland, Aaron Hughes, Leon Andreason, Jimmy Bullard, Danny Murphy, Simon Davies, Brian McBride (c), Eddie Johnson
Subs: Tony Warner, Moritz Volz, Carlos Bocanegra, David Healy, Clint Dempsey
Referee: Alan Wiley
Attendance: tbc

Comment #7I’d play Zog RM, Duff LM and Owen Martins up front.
I see Duff can’t even get on the bench. Is he injured?? Or is he on strike until Ste Carr gets a new deal??

Comment #10Hope Butt continues his good form from Birmingham and that Barton pulls his finger out….
My only concern is our weakish bench, apart from an out of form Zog can’t see goals on it I’m afraid……

Comment #11DC go to http://www.myp2p.eu there are a few links (first is working for sure).
good line up but I’m affraid N’Zogbia will want to go in the summer. He is too good to be on the bench in the team fighting for survive. He is good enough to be in the Wenger’s starting eleven…

Comment #12but to be honest hammy, looking at the starters, there should be goals in oba owen and duke. if we’ve got to look to the bench for goals when we’ve got our top 3 strikers all starting then we’ve got a serious problem, haha.

Comment #14i dont get it when people say thing like “barton is playing, so we hav eno creativity” WHAT are you talking about!? He is our most creative player in terms of picking a pass, yes he has bveen poor lately but when was n’zogbia ever good at picing a pass. I love him to bits but Barton on form is better in the middle

Comment #15Where are Diatta and Cacapa? They should form our central heart of our defence with Faye in front of them and N’Zogbia in front of Faye.

Comment #16Where is CACAPA!!!???? He has always played with BALLS. Faye played terrible last match. Edgar is too inexperienced and Cacapa deserves his chance. There’s plenty of time for Edgar to play next season. Right now we need Cacapa!!!
