Andy Carroll – scored England’s 3rd goal last night

England won 3-1 against Russia at Milton Keynes on Tuesday night, and the Newcastle striker played 75 minutes before being replaced.

The 6′ 3″ striker went close to breaking the deadlock with an excellent shot early in the game, before finally getting a goal in the 64th minute from close range for England’s third goal.

Local boy Ryan Donaldson played 79 minutes for the England Under-17s against France last night, as they were held to a 1-1 draw in their European Championships Qualifier in Tel Aviv, Israel.

The full England side play France in Paris tonight, and we have no idea if Michael Owen will play. But if he does play let’s hope, no let’s pray, that he doesn’t get injured.

Maybe Carroll would be considered more seriously for the first team if he’d sort out his haircut?!

CSKA Moscow have finalised the capture of Czech starlet Lubos Kalouda.

The 20-year-old was being tracked by Juventus, Chelsea and Newcastle.

This was the ‘next Nedved’ youngster we were bing linked with in Jan transfer window. i wonder if he will turn out to be as good as his hype.

    Ed, no mention about Troisi?

He won he first senior Australian cap, which is good considering hes never played a first team game, must be promising.

I hope Donaldson is the mid-field link up we’ve been missing the past couple of years. too bad we can’t accelerate his development for next season
