Oba Looking For More Goals

Oba Martins has talked to the Newcastle Evening Chronicle, and it looks like he’s looking forward to scoring some goals for Newcastle before the end of the season.

Oba Martins – 7 goals for Newcastle this season

Martins told The Chronicle:

“It has worked very well in the last couple of games. These tactics suit me and any player who wants to attack.”“Mark and Michael have scored in recent games, so it will probably be my turn against Tottenham! I’m hoping to score again soon.”

“The important thing is hard work and trying to get three points first. That’s what we will do against Spurs. The most important thing is just to finish on a high.”

“It’s been disappointing, but we have still got seven games left to play for. It would be great to keep our run going against Tottenham. We know it won’t be easy as they are a good team.”

“If we carry on playing like we did against Fulham I think the season will have a happy end. We have to stay positive, in our thinking and the way we play our football.”

With Sunderland having won their last two games, they are now one point above Newcastle in the league, and the Magpies will need a win to get above Sunderland since they have a worse goal difference then Sunderland.

But Bolton’s loss yesterday means that Newcastle are still 6 points clear of the drop zone, and a win today would do wonders to alleviate our relegation worries and lift the spirits of the Newcastle supporters.

Hopefully, Oba can help there with a goal or two, but it promises to be a good game between two attacking sides.

I started watching football in the very late stage of my life cause i was a basketball player for 7 years.I began watching football when i was 18 and that was France 98 but before that i was football’s worst enemy, hated everything about him.Soo in that time i had to find my favorite club to support and i chose Man Utd.I was their fan for like a year or somethin untill the moment i was changing the chanels on my TV and there was a game between Newcastle vs Croatia Zagreb second leg.
Knowing that Croatia kicked out Partizan Belgrade,a team which i supported since i was a kid(in basketball terms mostly but also football a little bit) knowing that inside me runs black &white blood which is Partizan colors aswell.
I didn’t know who is Newcastle at all but when i saw the colours against those cu**s from Croatia i said to myself that this is gonna be my new Partizan from now on IF they win.
After the game finished i forgot about Man Utd instantly, the new love was born inside me in that exact moment whose name was NEWCASTLE.
Just don’t ask me who did i cheer for when Newcastle played Partizan 4 years ago.
    NEWCASTLE FOR LIFE
    Tottenscum-Newcastle: 1-2

He has been on fire the last couple of games, and unlucky not to score – I really think that a couple of goals would open the floodgates for the rest of the season.

I have to say that he has been a huge disappointment this season – granted he has suffered the same shit service inflicted on the rest of our strikers for the majority of the season, and the thrill defying tactics of BSA – maybe he can turn out to be the player who benefits most from the cavalier attitude that Keegan will bring to the team
