Beye – We’re Concentrating On Winning Matches

Habib Beye, voted by Newcastle fans on this site to be the best buy Sam made in the summer, had another excellent game for the club at White Hart Lane on Sunday.

Habib Beye – another great game on Sunday

Habib talked to the Newcastle Evening Chronicle this afternoon:

“It’s a massive win and a massive three points.” “Everybody wanted to win because we knew that Birmingham and Sunderland had won.”

“Now we have a lot of confidence from this as well as the points.” “It’s good for everybody because they worked hard for it.”

“We’ve worked in training because everybody wants this club in the Premier League next season.” “At Spurs we showed it with a massive three points.”

“It was my left foot and to be one-on-one with the keeper and hit the bar is unlucky.” “To win 4-1 against Spurs is our best game of the season away from home.”

“It’s important to get forward when you play full-back.” “We have to add to the quality going forward.”

“When the team is playing confidently you will see myself and Jose Enrique flying forward again.” “I also have a good understanding with Geremi on the right-hand side. It’s great to play with him because he is very clever.”

“Now we have 35 points and play Reading at home, which is a massive game.” “We aren’t safe yet because we need to win more games.”

“We would like to do that quickly so that we can progress to next season and go into it following a good finish this time.” “We won’t stop concentrating on winning matches.”

Habib just about demonstrates the spirit in the Newcastle camp with these words right now, and he’s so right when he says Reading is another massive game for us on Saturday.

But if we can prevail in that game then surely we will be safe in the PL for next season. Then we’ll be able to strengthen the squad in the summer and then push on big time next season.

We may well be the surprise side next season in the Premier League.

At least we hope so – on the positive side of course.   😀

Stuff Reading. Our goal now should be to catch Spurs and Hammers. I’d be chuffed to bits if we could snatch 10th in the league. Then I’d have been about right in my pre season estimate, though I never thought we’d have to go about it the way we have. Hammer’s have been pants of late. If we can go down to London and take 3 points from them and do well down the stretch it’s not completely unreasonable that we could catch them. They’ll have to do their part by finishing poorly, but I’m not putting that past them at this point.

What a great signing he has been, At least Sam did the odd thing right namely Beye, Faye, Enrique and now Barton.

Beye, great signing!..In fact, there’s only smith i would get rid of (of Fat Shams signings)…’Cos i even think Roz is worth another chance, i reckon he’d be sweet, if not immense, in a settled, confident team…Like he is for Czech Republic!..

Defo Leo, we can’t judge him while playing Fat Shams tactics (if that’s what you call ’em)…

Roz maybe worth giving a chance after coming back after his loan as Butt and Milner have shown that some players are worth a 2nd chance.

But i think he will be shipped out in the summer

Aye Craigg, quite a few players that people were slagging off are starting to gel…These things take time!..It took KK 10 games to rid ’em of Fat Shams mentality didn’t it…& yea, y’right about Butt & Milner…Don’t see why Roz can’t prove the fickle wrong!..Especially with KK on his side!..

Beye has been great all season

Enrique has been great when he has played

Faye has been great 95% of the season

Geremi and Barton have both come good under KK.

And i have no doubt that if Cacapa, Rozehnal and even Smith have more time under KK then they will come good aswell. After all this time it wasn’t bad buys from Sam, it is just the way he had them playing.

ROZY must be sold, no way to take him back. He did not succeed in the high EPL but even worse he did absolutely not manage to get into the life of the italian seria A!!

Is Borussia Dortmund still interested? 😉

You could give Smith hours and hours with KK. Sadly he and Duff have had more than enough chances and must / should move on. As people on here are saying, the rest of Sam’s buys are thriving in a ”footballing” team.

We may don’t want him but better leave him to KK to resurrect his form & only time will tell that he’d be a better player next time. Now that we’re flying high with much better results & consistent good performance he’d benefit from it. Even Butt, Barton, Geremi of those i hated most of their bad performances almost all of this season are becoming good these days. Maybe Smith is next in the making? who ever knows eh?

I’ve been very impressed with Beye since he came to the club, I saw him in the Brancespeth Suite last night getting photos taken with the kids, seems a sound bloke. I dont think Rozy has a future at the club and will be away asap !

I don’t thinkRoz will get another chance after things happenned around him. It was a very strange decision to let him go on loan at the end of the January window. I think something happenned behind the scenes.

Nick Dryden – I think Duff started too soon. He should have waited 1 month longer, cause he was not ready to give 100%. Now he is left out and I think he is a bit tired, because of his too soon coming back.
