geremi has been piss poor today, apart from his assist. i hope he is better in the second half
44 Michael // Apr 20, 2008 at 14:22
Sopcast has went down for both goals, Im sure they do it deliberately!
45 ToonKing // Apr 20, 2008 at 14:22
the mackems are terrible ahhahah clueless , were gonna stuff em today !!!
46 reillers // Apr 20, 2008 at 14:23
Bad penalty decision, who cares except Keane, bad penalty but a goals a goal.
47 sam gardner // Apr 20, 2008 at 14:23
2-0 owen pen come on hahaha easy!!!!
48 Rich // Apr 20, 2008 at 14:24
Just saw the penalty - you guys are quite some way ahead!
49 Spyro // Apr 20, 2008 at 14:25
not a bad penalty decision at all
50 51times // Apr 20, 2008 at 14:25
As soon as I saw their back four I knew that there was no way we would fail to put a few past them. I was confident that we’d beat them anyway but now I’m sure of it, there’s no way back for the Mackems.
51 Michael // Apr 20, 2008 at 14:26
Anyone getting Sopcast again?
52 Macca // Apr 20, 2008 at 14:26
2-0, slightly fortunate penalty, wonder if Keane will get another phone call from ref chief apologizing, but still a goals a goal.
Looking at the Sunderland bench, there’s know one really who can make a difference, we’ll probably see Chopra and Leadbitter maybe even Harte in the second half. Nothing much threatening there.

mine is fine…..great stream. Screen went white for a few minutes, but it has been perfect apart from that
56 toonpars // Apr 20, 2008 at 14:28
question. is andy reid the fattest footballer in the league??
57 Hadrian // Apr 20, 2008 at 14:29
was easy a pen !! he thought he was gordon for a second there !!
58 Steve_48 // Apr 20, 2008 at 14:29
A good and well taken goal from Owen
Don’t think it was a penalty mind you, more ball to hand in the tackle, will take the penalty nontheless.
We need to up the pace a little as we went to sleep after the goal, against a better team we could have invited some problems.
Martins needs to get more involved, think he should switch to the right and push The Duke across to the LHS it’ll give him more opportunities to use the right peg and ping one as they’ew asking for it.
59 ToonKing // Apr 20, 2008 at 14:29
yep, he is…
60 Michael // Apr 20, 2008 at 14:30
Ah balls, I should have given it a chance to sort itself out instead of refreshing it, missed the second goal. I cant believe how much were bossing this. It seems like the mackems have no spirit what so ever.
61 Tom_Toon // Apr 20, 2008 at 14:30
~How was it a harsh pen!!?!?!?! He arm was up in the air when he was on the ground for god’s sake.
62 Spyro // Apr 20, 2008 at 14:31
WHAT ARE YOU GUYS TALKING ABOUT!? WAS A DEFINITE PENALTY!!!
63 51times // Apr 20, 2008 at 14:31
Sky Sports just showed it again, definitely a pen, he moved his hands and it hit the ball…that’s called handball.
64 Spyro // Apr 20, 2008 at 14:32
not too mention Paul McShanes own goal should have stood, why the f**k was the whistle blown!?!
65 Steve_48 // Apr 20, 2008 at 14:32
Tom it was ball to hand mate, still couldn’t give a sh*t, 2-0 up, need to switch the attackers around and get Martins more involved - he needs a goal to help with contract negociations
66 Spyro // Apr 20, 2008 at 14:33
wasnt ball to hand, his hands werent down, they were up and in the way, definite penalty
67 The black in the blacknwhite // Apr 20, 2008 at 14:34
WHO EAT ALL THE PIES……
68 Spyro // Apr 20, 2008 at 14:34
…Andy Reid
69 Macca // Apr 20, 2008 at 14:36
Watch it, last time I heard one of the other fans call Reid fat he set up a smashing goal for Sunderland.
But still, if he was fit he’d be bought in a heartbeat.
70 Steve_48 // Apr 20, 2008 at 14:36
Owen tried to dink the ball over him and in the tackle his hand was already in the air, not gonna argue as everyone’s opinion is right in the end. Not a real penalty, as there’s no consistency between all referees in these cases.
What do you guys think about switching Martins and The Duke around? Beye is playing well as is Enrique, Barton a little quiet in midfield Butt has been tremendous so far
71 Steve_48 // Apr 20, 2008 at 14:37
Just hope Smith doesn’t feature later on. Good to see Mort and Ashley celebrating on Owen’s 1st goal
72 Spyro // Apr 20, 2008 at 14:38
Butt has been carrying our midfield, Geremi and Barton need to improve in the second half

76 Steve_48 // Apr 20, 2008 at 14:58
