Ashley Dancing – Bet That Was A Pretty Site

As seen on TV Mike Ashley, Newcastle United’s billionaire owner was in joyous mood at the end of the Tyne Wear derby game and was seen dancing in the Director’s box.

Owner Mike Ashley with fans – loving it now!

He was celebrating another good performance from his new team under Kevin Keegan and a 2-0 derby victory over Sunderland in the dressing-room.

That’s 3 clean sheets in a row and three wins in arrow at home for Newcastle united and they are now mathematically safe from relegation.

Newcastle extended their unbeaten run to six matches to with 4 wins and Kevin Keegan was in a goods mood also after the game, when told Mike had been seen dancing:

“I bet that wasn’t a pretty sight,”

“I read somewhere that Mike could have bought Leeds United or Newcastle, so when he came in at the end, I just said, ‘Aren’t you glad you chose this place?’”

“No disrespect to Leeds, but you can’t buy an atmosphere like we had today.”

Ashley looked ecstatic after the game, and we think he is enthralled with the Geordie fans and the atmosphere they create at St. James’ Park. The atmosphere yesterday was so special and right at the start when Michael Owen scored the first goal, which was pure class, Chris Mort and Mike were jumping up and down like kids – so were we.

There’s no doubt Kevin Keegan is working his magic again at the club, but the good thing is that it’s a work in progress, and this team will only get better. 😀

Great result ! A few questions though. When he’s fit again will Given walk straight back into the side? I would hope NOT! Will Mike get a new shirt next season and if so who’s name will be on the back?
Great times at the toon now. Get in!

We owe a lot to Ashley, and I’ve got a lot of time for him. His only mistake was to go against his instincts and give Allerdyce time to do his thing. But then, I was one of many calling for the same thing, so there you go. And how would we have reacted if he’d fired BSA as soon as he’d arrived?

He’s now done his own thing, stuck to his guns, and it’s working.

Ashley is also the man that played the City boys at their own game, made nearly a billion out of them in a few weeks, then called them all ‘cry-babies’ at the press conference.

He’s a great example of how billionnaire owners don’t have to be corrupt, nasty gits from dodgy countries. He’s a brit, he’s one of the lads, he loves the club, he says what he means and his ideas work. He deserves all the boogies he can get.

ArtyH I think you are right about Given. Steve H has done nothing wrong between the sticks and should be left in the first choice slot until he starts to make errors, he is a quality quality keeper.
