Titus Bramble Hardly A Class Act

We were disappointed to read uncomplimentary comments of Titus Bramble yesterday about Newcastle United.

Titus Bramble – slags off Newcastle fans

Titus Bramble has rather foolishly been outspoken about his 5 year stay at Newcastle United and has severely criticized Newcastle’s fans. Hardly a good move.

“The Newcastle fans aren’t as good as everybody says. They think they should be winning things – but why? They’ve not won a trophy for 50 years”.

Let’s be accurate here – it’s 39 years since we last won a trophy in 1969 – wrong again. Bramble feels the Geordie faithful also got their previous manager Sam Allardyce sacked, as he continued:

“The fans got Sam Allardyce the sack there. Can you believe that?”,

Titus admitted the criticism he received hurt him, (oh, the poor thing), although he does say he was supported by his team mates and friends.

Let’s get something straight.

If you make schoolboy errors at Newcastle you will not be a favorite with the Geordie faithful. They expect their players to play well and not keep mis-kicking balls in the penalty box, which Titus has continued to do at Wigan, and given away stupid goals. In fact he’s no longer a starter at Wigan under manager Steve Bruce – a Geordie by the way.

We don’t think it’s very intelligent for Titus to make these comments, because if we put together a film of the mistakes he made in the famous black and white shirt of Newcastle, that film would be up for comedy of the year.

If he attacks Newcastle, he has to expect the fans to cite the evidence they have of why he was not very good at the Tyneside club – and unfortunately for Bramble, the evidence is piled very high indeed.

The fact he cannot get his game at Wigan tells it all – he’s just not good enough.

Titus should have let things lie, and heaven help him if he ever plays at Newcastle again, but we’d be surprised if he can get his game.

well done Ed for making this article, this guy is a disgrace, He needs to learn a little bit about dignity from his team mate Sibierski. Is he unaware that Wigan fans were probably laughing at him whilst he was at our club?…along with everyone else. He truly is an idiot.

he is a fool, an idiotic fool. he is no a PL player, simple as that, he should be grateful for us giving him a chance… and another chance… and another… he did not deserve the black n white shirt he possed for 5 years, so to critsize us is a joke

Titus has a hobby that many of us know about in the North East, he has women all over the place most of which think they are his only girlfriend and is allegedly rumoured to like a particular pastime involving a mate too, if that last part is true or not I do not know, however this pastime on top of partying hasnt helped his game he will look back and realise he wasted a good opportunity.
When he isnt tired and is fully awake and aware of where the football is he is a reasonable premiership defender, when he has been burning the candle at both ends he is terrible, looking around to see where the ball has gone, in to the back of the net usually, behind him.
His stupid comments are in keeping with his stupid actions as a person, the only problem Titus Bramble has is Titus Bramble, thick as two short planks, he stands on the pitch wondering where the ball has gone, in ten years time he will be wondering where his money and career has gone, none of which will be Newcastle or Wigan’s fault both of them gave him an opportunity wasted.

    How embarassing.

I am just annoyed by the fact that he says Newcastle fans expect to be winning things. Everyone I know has the common sense to know that we area not good enough to challenge for the league and in the cups, if Cardiff can make it to wembley, then why can’t we? We don’t expect to win something, we hope to win something, perhaps a bit more than other teams fans and i don’t see what is wrong with that. What we do expect, however, is that our players will give 100% for the club and act like a professional on AND off the pitch. If you can’t do those two simple things, then combine that with being a shambolic defender and the chances are the fans won’t like you. Sorry Titus. Just look at Sibierski and Butt, both at one point out of favour with the fans, but through hard work and some self-pride, they won us over. I just hope Titus prefers playing (sorry, sitting) in front of a half empty stadium every other week, picking up his pay packet. no doubt he probably does…

Have viewed it a few times . Strange to say …we all piss ourselves laughing even tho the toon are on receiving end and conceding goals. Have heard many comments about bad defending by anybody today referred to as a Titus e.g Titus Senderos at Arsenal.
The fat useless muppet will wish he kept his fat useless gob shut. He really is an embarassment to professional football.

Im very disappointed Bramble has felt the need to come out with these slurs.I was one of many who applauded him onto the pitch at St. James for his pre-match warm up earlier this season. This despite his performances for us during his time at the Toon.Sounds like sour grapes to me especially seeing he has been dropped from Wigans team for making too many errors aswell.
To be honest he isnt even worth talking about.

while i agree with him that alan oliver is a complete C**T and did become overly reliant on blaming titus for all newcastle’s failings, when to be fair he was but one of many at the time, i still find it incredible that he’s turned on the fans, the vast, vast majority of whom supported him through thick and thicker while he wore the shirt.

oh and yes, he is one of those footballers who likes to have women all over the shop. When i was at uni i was seeing this lass, and he was shagging her flatmate.

dozy cow thought she was his girlfriend, even tho all he ver used to do was come round, shag her, then piss off again.

There were many Newcastle supporters who spoke up for Titus as he went through one calamity after another and I was one of them. Titus had a lot of ability but crucially he had the concentration level of a ten year old tartazine addict. Eventually even his supporters had to admit he was a shambles and we are well rid. For him to come out with this betrayal now shows him up for the fool he always was.

By the way ChrisL, Titus saying that Alladyce was sacked due to the fans rather than himself demonstrates all we need to know about his understanding of the club and I don’t doubt he has never even bothered to take the slightest interest since his departure. As for having a pop at the so called “expectations” of the fans he has indeed crossed the line. So Titus rails off at the injustice of “Brian” Oliver, and the iniquities of the media, who have some how managed to convince everyone of his lack of worth. If he really believes that and thinks it is wrong how come in the next sentence he is found repeating similar rubbish that he reads in the papers about the Newcastle supporters and their expectations?

Does anyone remember the mocking of bramble during the match against liverpool where the liverpool fans give him the standing ovation when he came on for the injured talyor. He is simply stupid enough to believe that the fans are clapping for him. Of course they are happily clapping as it means that they will have the goals flowing for their side.

Mr T _ Keano has got a great football knowledge and he will never want to buy players like Bramble.

BTW Bramble just proved how stupid he is. He had the honour to play in front of a fantastic crowd, but he was so bad that none of them wanted him their team. That says enough; even at Wigan he is nothing more than a substitute and I’m quite sure that the biggest part of the Wigan fans (200 men 😉 ) are happy about that. The other 100 fans don’t care as long as they survive.

Anyone remember the opposition fans (think it was Liverpool) give Bramble a standing ovation when he was brought on as sub for us?
Absolutley brilliant moment, ‘theres only one Titus Bramble’ – Bramble looked quite pleasantly surprised at first… untill he realised they were taking the proverbial, he must have felt a complete chump…. and rightly so – even one of his best mates (think it was an England U21 lad, may have been at Portsmouth) missed a penalty on Soccer AM and said ‘I made a right Bramble of that!!’, apparently Bramble had a word with him before the next match… was not happy. 🙂
