The Newcastle games against Chelsea will now be a vital game in the Premiership next Monday.
Kevin Keegan – with Terry in the dug out
Kevin has talked to the Daily Mirror today about the fact that it’s his job to help Manchester United win the title. That’s because it’s Kevin’s job to prepare Newcastle United to beat Chelsea next Monday afternoon (KO 4:00 pm) at St. James’ Park.
Kevin said today:
“It’s our job to help Manchester United win the title – it’s not easy for me to say that!” “I don’t have a preference at all.”
“The best team usually wins it, except the time when we lost the title. That time the best team came second because that’s the way life is. You always think you have the best team.â€
“If we beat Chelsea it’s because we deserve to and if they beat us they deserve to. If Manchester United win the title they’ll have deserved to and the same for Chelsea.â€
“I don’t think it’s our cup final, it’s their cup final and our chance to see how we’ve progressed. It’s a game I’d like to win.”
We bet nobody ever expected Kevin to say that.
But the match next Monday should be really good, given how well the lads can play, especially at home, where we have won our last 3 games and not conceded a goal.
And a win would be a very nice way to end the season for the Geordie fans, who have again put up with another below par performance for the season, after hopes were so very high last August.
What do you think? Can we beat Chelsea?
Comments welcome.

Comment #4JMC – f*ck the scousers…if they win another European Cup the rest of England will never hear the end of it.They were lucky to win it in 2005, lucky to get to the final in 2007 and have been lucky so far this season. It has to end here for them.

Comment #9I hope we win, but I don’t want to see a Oba’s hat trick. Then, all the press will say this and that clubs want to sign him. We don’t have enough players, and I don’t wish to see anyone to go, except a few.

Comment #10If i was to choose between Chelsea and Man Utd who to win the title,i’d choose Chelsea.Thats from the simple fact that i really hate Man Utd.
Anyway…let the best team win.

Comment #12It’s a no brainer, I want us to beat Chelski, If manure win EPL in process then so be it. Don’t really care what happens elsewhere, I wouldn’t be to bothered about Barca winning European cup either.
I want the next English club to win it to be us.
