Newcastle Will Go All Out For Win On Monday

Kevin Keegan will send his players into the final home game of the season against Chelsea with the message to attack Chelsea.

Kevin Keegan – Newcastle will have a go at Chelsea

That should be no surprise to anybody who knows how Kevin Keegan likes to play the game of football – by attacking the opposition and providing great entertainment for the fans.

This game will be broadcast world-wide on TV, and it’s a great chance for Newcastle United to show they will be a team to be reckoned with next season, by not only putting on a good performance but perhaps by also winning the game.

Kevin said today:

“It’s a fantastic end of the season for us because if we were not playing Chelsea and Everton then there is a danger the season peters out,” “It’s been an incredible season in that there is still so much to play for and it’s good that there is so much riding on this game.”

“We are still playing for pride and it’s a chance to see how far we have come because results tell us we are making progress.” It’s an opportunity to test ourselves against the very best because it’s the first time we have played a top side while we are in a good run.”

“You can’t say we’re lacking confidence, you can’t say you don’t know where a goal is coming from and you can’t say we are leaking goals all over the place.” “If Chelsea do win it will be because they deserve it and not because of a lack of effort on our behalf.”

“I want my players to have a go and I know they will.” “We have got a good record at home to Chelsea down the years and if we get a performance like we did at Spurs (won 4-1), with the crowd behind us then it will be some game.”

“Chelsea have had a great season and Avram Grant has done a great job, don’t let anybody tell you otherwise.” “They’re in the Champions League Final and are level on points at the top of the league with two games left.”

“If he is in trouble then it certainly makes the rest of us look vulnerable.”

Chelsea manager Avram Grant – caught trying to smile

We wish Avram Grant all the very best because he’s come in for severe criticism this season, but Chelsea still keep winning their games.

He’s also quite a character, and reminds us of a bulldog, who you just want to try to cheer up – he always looks so down in the dumps. 😀

But he’s a real character, and football needs people like Avram Grant and Kevin Keegan, and we think he’ll be just great for Chelsea Football Club.

Comments welcome.

Avram has a face like a bulldog licking piss off a stinger, but it doesnt make him a bad person!!!!

I just hope we ruin his weekend by beating him and his team – not interested in Man Ure or Chelski, just the Toon, playing well and winning football matches. Chelski just happen to be next!!!

So we are going to attack Chelsea, I sure Mr Ferguson ‘would love it if beat them.’ What is the point a potentially getting Butt suspended for the start of next season or has Keegan got a Butt replacement lined up so we can cope missing him a the start. Milner is back, play him in the Geremi role with him playing in Butt’s role – apart from that Faye replacing Taylor, the rest unchanged.

Avram Grant reminds me of Toad from Wind in the Willows.

I like the fact Chelsea have never beaten us at SJP since YoMan AvramsMeBitch has been there.

If Grant is Greenback, does that make Keegan Dangermouse? Would Chris Mort be Penfold?

i never understood the critism on avam grant, hes done well to be fair and is a kind and friendly man.

i would not expect anything other than newcastle to go at chelsea and attack them throughout the game. we deserve that atleast

nufctj – You must have forgotten that Taylor played Drogba off the park at SJP last year.
