Nicky Butt of course was at Manchester United for a long time, and it seems he’s looking forward to the game against Chelsea on Monday afternoon, where a Newcastle win would hand the Premier title to the Red Devils, once again.
Nicky Butt – lots of friends still at Man United
Nicky Butt talked about the Premier League title race between the two clubs:
“Manchester United going for the Double makes the Chelsea game even bigger for me,” “I was a long time at United and I’ve still got a lot of friends there.â€
“First and foremost, we want to do well for ourselves and finish the season on the right note, but the added bonus is that I can help my friends out as well.†“The texts started a few days ago after their game against Chelsea, but it’s in their own hands, and I’m sure United will do it.â€
“United deserve the title. I’d always fancy them because of my connections there, but I’m also a great believer in playing football the right way.†“I’m not saying Chelsea don’t deserve anything, but it’s more attractive to the eye watching United games.”
It should be a great game between the two teams with Chelsea at the top of their form, and Newcastle United showing much improved form under Kevin Keegan.
Newcastle have a 7 game unbeaten run going with 4 wins, but they will be sternly tested by the top-class Blues side who are playing so well under Avram Grant. This is a game many of the Newcastle players are so looking forward to, so they can test themselves against one of the best sides in Europe.
But the Premier League and football should be the winner on Monday afternoon, because we’re expecting a classic contest between the two motivated sides.
