N’Zogbia May Get Start at Everton

We still don’t know if Charles N’Zogbia will leave the club in the summer, and it may well be that he will get a start for Newcastle tomorrow at Everton.

Charles N’Zogbia – may start tomorrow

Kevin talked today to the Newcastle Journal, and was quite upbeat about Charles’ attitude in training over the last few weeks.

“I think that Charles has shown the desired reaction following our chat a few weeks ago, even though he had to wait to come in”

Charles has had some attitude problems in the past, and Keegan was unwilling to even give N’Zogbia even a substitute place when he failed to show the necessary commitment to the club and his team-mates. Hopefully N’Zogbia will have learned something from that.

Kevin continued:

“To be fair to Charles N’Zogbia, he has trained fantastically well and he has had to wait for his opportunity to get back into the team because there’s no way I was going to put players in when the players who were in possession were doing so well.”

“It’s a different thing now with Everton because there’s no Mark Viduka or Joey Barton because of his bail conditions so there are opportunities and I will take one or two young players with us.”

We think Charles may even get a start tomorrow with Viduka out injured for up to 6 months, and Joey Barton is not allowed to play in Liverpool, the city of his last altercation in December, because of his bail conditions.

Maybe Charles will be given a start in the midfield three for Barton. Whatever Kevin does decide should give us some indication of what will happen to Charles in the summer.

But we think if he has any doubts about staying at Newcastle he should move to London, and we still think that’s where he will end up for next season.

What do you think?

i’d rather not sell zoggy.. cos he’s a wonderful talent that could be one of toon’s future legends if he continues to train hard under kev. but if his heart is not with us, i say let him go. just get a good price for him.. 10mil to spurs? LOL

I think he will leave but it would be a shame for him to go but for once we’d make a profit on a player.

Hope he has a good game for us on Sunday and will be interesting to see which team is selected.

If Smith plays I’d expect us to get beat !

I think N’Zog will stay now, especially after Spurs, the club most linked with him, signed Modric (think he will struggle in the Presm, hope so anyway :)).
Think the lad just wants to play week in week out and hopefully Keegan has explained that he has as much chance of that happening here than anywhere else – after the summer clear out I think N’Zog can look forward to a good run in the side, he is young, particularly versatile down the left and also quality in center of midfield, a good assett for the club.
So why would we want to sell if Keegan is saying that his attitude is right now?

I think with Viduka out Kev will go for 2 wingers in his favoured 4 4 2. That could bring in Zog and Milner (is he fit?) with Owen and Martins up front. I’d like to see that formation.

I think we should make a massive fuss over wanting to keep Zog and then keeping up their recent tradition of trying for every player we like Spurs would make a £20m bid on the spot

N’Zogbia could go in for Barton, he prefers playing in the middle anyway.

he will not be leaving, im pretty sure of that, his attitude dipped alot when geremi was away which is when someone managed to try and get him intrerested in moving to london, now i believe he will be fully happy to help our cause

his ball making skills have vastly improved since his last run of games and you will all see that against everton,

we will no doubt play a 442 formation for this game with milner and nzogbia as our wingers with small strikers up front the through ball will work a treat from zoggy

The only people (& i use the word advisedly!) that have mentioned Zog leaving for spuds is the press, ho hum!..
