Maybe Wise & the rest only talk to the agents, and Keegan talks to the players once the wages are agreed between club & the agent.Did anyone actually talk to Mordic the player ,or was it only with the guys agent.If the guy himself was in newcastle then i am pretty sure Keegan would have got to meet him.Did any one actually see him in the flesh?

I strongly believe that the board has to let KK talk to the targets directly. It gives them assurances of what to expect. Imagine your the player, about to sign for the club, but you have no idea what your boss thinks of you or expects. Would you commit your years with this club? I highly doubt so.

I agree that KK needs to be more involved with transfers – his enthusiasm and vision for the club and his ability to sell it to players in unsurpassed. Perhaps Modric would of been ours had KK been able to weave his magic – “look into my eye, not around my eyes …………………”
