Our 18 year-old Hungarian youngster, Tamas Kadar, had great news today, that he has been included in the senior national squad for the first time.

Tamas Kadar - call up today for Hungary Senior Squad
Hungary are to play friendlies against Greece and Croatia.
The 18-year-old has been capped once at Under-21 level, but don’t be at all surprised if this boy makes his full debut when Hungary takes on the European 2008 finalists in Budapest later this month.
Tamas, who stands 6′2″ was signed from Zalaegerszegi TE in late January, and is just one of a bunch of youngsters we expect to make rapid strides at the club, and be pushing for a first team place within a year or two.
As an example, 18 year-old Ben Tozer was on the bench for the Everton game yesterday, but didn’t get his first taste of first team action.
Comments very welcome.

Good luck to the lad. He looks like a fantastic addition to the squad from what I’ve seen so far.

The future looks bright if these youngsters mature into first class players who can progress through the system and eventually make it to the first team.
I know this four tear old we should sign now before The Arse. or Chelski get wind of him,
heard Real madrid have been watching him!

well done lad, is anyone seeing this david sullivans scathing attack on his summer signings last year especially frank quedreu, he just called him a pile of rubbish. lol

I just want to say good luck to Peter Ramage at QPR, I do hate one of ours leaving like its a Steven Seagal style kick in the testicles.
Cheers for the efforts even though many didnt appreciate you, I remember your Man Of the Match performances against Arsenal and Fenebahce.
good luck lad.

Alex,
Been there for business trip once. A beautiful city. Must leave yourself some time to walk by the river, it is just beautiful. Take a boat at night and have a look at the city from a different angle would also be a nice experience IMO.
Have a nice trip there!

Ed i didnt know you could predict who would be a euro 2008 finalist. you reckon crotia or greece
or do you mean euro 2004 champions greece
15 ToonKing // May 12, 2008 at 18:21
yeah alex Budapest is imo the most beautiful city in Europe, a must see.
as for Kadar i’m really happy that he got called up (obvious since i’m hungarian
), Hungary has a new manager in Erwin Koeman and this is a new, very talented generation of players.

ToonKing - Who is the most talented?
18 ToonKing // May 12, 2008 at 18:46
the most talented ….hmm i’d have to say it’s Dzsudzsak of PSV.
but Kadar, Feczesin Róbert of Brescia (he’s not in the squad as he is fighting for promotion with Brescia), Filkor Attila of Inter now on loan at Grosetto, Priskin Tamás of Watford and Nemeth Krisztian of Liverpool all very talented youngsters called up to the senior squad.
also the squad has Gera Zoltan, Hajnal Tamas, Dardai Pal, Huszti Szabolcs, Juhasz Roland and the the unwashed goalkeeper Fulop Marton.
so as you can see Hungary have a very good and balanced squad as well as a decent manager now and i hope they make it to a European competition.
19 Tom_Toon // May 12, 2008 at 18:47
Im a fan of Priskin, Dzsudzsak and Huszti.
Farkas and Vass not any good then?
20 ToonKing // May 12, 2008 at 18:55
oh right i forgot Vass Ãdám,Farkas Balázs .Vass is missing from the senior squad due to the fact that he is also at Brescia, but he will join up later. He is a very promising defensive midfielder too.
Farkas Balázs was left out for now but he too has 3 caps all ready and has a very good shoot and speed, he’ll be a very good striker one day.
Players who have not yet made the senior squad but are considered big talents are Simon András (Liverpool), , Gulácsi Péter (Liverpool), , Dudás Ãdám (GyÅ‘r) and Koman Vladmir (Sampodria).

Tozser at AEK looked pretty good. I saw a bit of him in the CL.
Juhasz looks an allright CB for Anderlecht too, Buzsaky looks ok and Stieber is meant to be promising aswell.
Thats all the hungarians i know.
22 Ed Harrison // May 12, 2008 at 19:13
Masee - it means they qualified for the finals this summer - that’s all. As in England didn’t.
Not the actual 2 finalists.
23 Leo // May 12, 2008 at 19:32
seen him play, and even before i saw him play i had a good feeling about him, you can see that he is going to be a great footballer in times to come
24 Punk Skunk // May 12, 2008 at 20:03
Good Luck Tamas, gan on lad!..From Magyar to Magpie!..
…Also like Craigg said: All the best to Rambo, solid player, always left it all on the pitch for the Toon!..
25 Bill F // May 12, 2008 at 20:18
If he is good enough for the national squad why hasn’t he at least got onto our bench, I sometimes feel we are a little to protective in this country. The Milan teams are both playing excellent prospects in Pato and Ballotti and have been for some time.
26 gallowgate31 // May 12, 2008 at 20:26
IMO we should have played alot of the youngsters against everton, would have been a good experience for them and us.. plus we had nowt to lose.
Good luck to Ramage…
