Newcastle Interested in French Youngster

Newcastle United will sign a number of youngsters during the summer, who will be players for the future.

Aristote Lusinga – 18 year-old Nantes defender attracting Newcastle

We signed 5 top class youngsters in January, and the latest emerging star (hopefully) we seem to be after is 18 year-old French defender Aristote Lusinga.

The 18 year-old top prospect is expected to attract a decent bid from Newcastle, and be the first youngster to be captured by the club in the summer transfer window.

Aristote is 5’11” tall, and was born in February of 1990, so has just turned 18, and currently plays at the Nantes football club in France.

The player has already received a contract offer from Nantes, but he could also decide to go to the Premier League, where Newcastle would give him an excellent chance, even if we say it ourselves. 😀

What do you think?

Zarate is a good player, but he’s no better than Emre for me.

I’m still standing firm behind the Tasty Turk!!

ant, Zurate’s done more in half a season at Brum than Emre’s done in his whole time here.

Do you honestly think a fan of another prem club has ever wished they’d sign Emre? Honestly?

I bet most clubs have forgotten he’s here, sell him to WHU ASAP. He’s a complete waster.

I’m all for this new push to sign the best youngsters in the world, as long as it doesn’t hamper any scouting for local lads.

I’ll be interested to see how the new foreign lads are settling into the club and area or whether they get so homesick they want to return to their homeland……or London.

He rarely gets a run in the side, even though when he plays he shows why he plays, because he is an excellent footballer.

Yes, they would have wanted him when he played because he has torn teams apart with precision passing, excellent runs, and a sense of real footballing intelligence eminates from him.

He gets injured but so does every player. It’s when he’s not injured he should play every game and shut up anyone who says he’s not good enough.

Could have been one of the greats, still has time!

EMRE: Does he have enough WILL to play for the toon!! His injuries always seem the type to be niggly that others seem to recover from mighty Quick!!

Same as Zoggy for me, if they want the bright lights of a capital city, then they can haddaway and F***!!!!!!

He is a good footballer but he’s not cut out for this league, doesn’t have the heatrt for this club, is probably on £60k a week and does f**k all for it.

Aside from the 0-0 with chelsea and those 15 mins against everton he hasn’t really had a good game. He never bosses and this amazing passing thing is a complete fallacy. Yeah he keeps the ball moving alright and looks ok with other mobile footballers but there’s never an end product, his shooting is tripe and I’ve never seen a player consistently overhit throughballs like Emre does. In terms of creating chances Barton’s much better, he’s slipped players in loads of times this season.

Emre takes a decent freekick. The end.

Zarate may well be our answer to Tevez and if McLeish can bring him to EPL on loan why can’t KK do the same (if we try hard enough)? doubt anyone will pay half of 18m for him anyway. Larsson a must, he’s the complete package to replace the old man Geremi. won’t mind Muemba or even Ridgewell as young squad players if they come cheap. Shorey is a steal at 3m (Enrique is decent but will learn muchfrom a 5 yr older experienced Brits fighter). forget about big club rejects Bridge or Riise for LB. recall the babayaro disaster from chelski?

How can you question Emre’s commitment? Every game he gives 100% to the team and when the odds are against him he does everything to overome them. He’s a born winner and deserves a crack.

I will defend him come hell or high water, as he shows he wants to play, he commits himself too much sometimes but are you saying he’s worse than Joey Barton? A serious underperformer who hasn’t had a single good game yet, he’s just looked good compared to Geremi, Smith et al.

After the Euros we will see how many clubs want him, it won’t be a short list.

dont get me wrong i would love zarate at the toon, and hes 10 times better than emre by the way, i was just saying would u pay 18mil for him? like u say tho we may get him on loan as he dont wanna go bak to his club, maybe his reluctance to go back to the club may force them to lower their asking price otherwise hell go on loan and then end up leaving for free in a couple of years

He declared himself fit recently but Keegan said he could leave before the Chelsea/Everton games to go prepare for Turkey.

He’ll be fighting fit in the Euros and the heartbeat of our midfield next season hopefully.

If there’s even the slight nod from someone AT the club that he’s faking I’ll be straight against him, but he’s shown nothing but passion and pride since he first donned the black n white.

    He could be sooo important!

i play there quite often but also try and get booked at gosforths 5 a side place which is cheaper on the weekdays at 30quid rather than 45quid

easier for me to get to also lol.

buying these youngsters is the way forward. however i have two concerns:

do we have the right coaching staff and to train these prospect to their full potential? dennis wise is in charge of the youth team and i’d hardly call terry mcdermott and steve round world class coaches

when will they get a chance in the first team? when you have players in poor form such as geremi, barton, smith and duff on massive wages their is a reluctance to drop them from the team in the place of determined youngsters hungry to show what they can do. hopefully we can send a few out on loan in the autumn so they can prove themselves.

Alex this is what worries me. it’s great getting the youngsters but we don’t have any excellent coaching staff. Just terry mac and an FA long ball clone in Round. We need technically good people on the same lines as Quiroz and Wenger or Simon Clifford from the Futebol de Salao programme.

Sorry not the Emre I’ve seen. Torn teams apart??When? People talk about his ‘commitment’ – to me he’s lazy and simply has never played when we’ve needed him. I’ve seen most of his games (not many in 4 seasons I’ll admit). He’s not physically strong enough for the prem, NEVER dominates a game and is a shocking tackler. No great pace. Sell him tomorrow if I could.

i think emre has the ability to be a good player for us and i think he would fit in well in bartons current role on the left hand side of midfield in the 433 with barton replacing geremi on the other side. hes also better at set pieces than geremi. zarate though is an amazing prospect, really hope we can seal the deal on him.

Emre was in Pele’s top 125 ‘living legends’ he has been quoted as turkey’s greatest player….

I would love to see him have a good run without any injuries, for me he has shown commitment and class but just not had a really decent run in the side….(latley)

I reckon he needs to be played next season knowing that we have a quality replacement pushing him and then make our minds up at the end of the campaign.

Apparently KK tried to sign him in the past. to be honest he is certainly better than Geremi and Smith.
