Have to agree with Az above, occasional flashes of brilliance are just not good enough, that is why he never stayed at chelsea.
Also agree with Craigg, hope Milner will get better under KK, and think he will.

I want to see James Milner after the summer when he been working with Kev, He will be much better crosing wise no-doubt.

Or he could be like Rob Lee moved from wide right to CM wher he was as good as any CM in the league Milner with work could be effective there too.

same goes for milner, he does all the hard work getting past defenders with pace, but his final ball is awful, time and again. Trouble is he never seems to get any better, which begs the question should we persist with him or not?

Just to get back on track, if Geremi could cross the ball better, get a corner past the first post, and pass to his own team more then he would be ok, but generally he is shockingly poor and winds me up something chronic. Mind that cross for Owens header against the scum was a peach. If only he did that more often.

I though the game wasn’t too bad, the first half was good but the second was a bit of a bore. Cardiff’s keeper had a shocker.
Sad to see Sir Bobby in a pretty poor state but what a legend he is.You could still see his enthusiasm for the game though. Nice to see his embrace with Distin.

Did any one else think Cardiff should have had a penalty in the first few minutes. BBC either missed it or they ignored it. Pompey just about deserved to win in a pretty boring game.

I was talking to a NUFC director today and he told me Ashley, Mort and Keegan were at St James’ all day Wednesday, sorting out transfers, contracts, season ticket prices and so forth.
Should be something happening in the next few days………

congrats ‘Arry Rednose’ cardiff were the better team in the game but the qaulity showed. it makes me angry because some teams are just lucky to get into finals, and pompy did exactly that. we could have won that bloody cup today and also the uefa cup the other night.

So bloody depressing, but this is why i love the toon and nothing in my life will ever change that.
I love the highs and the lows, we are the most passionate club in england and we are on the verge of great things under mike ashleys ownership and the king in charge. i honestly think we will win the cup next year

yeah ma bro and ma grandad was in the royalnavy also, which is why my dad spent 6 years in portsmouth, i think it needs some serious re development but the place has something about it which i like, dnt know what

no where near beats newcastle though, thats a total different league
