Kevin Keegan spoke to the Evening Chronicle today, and gave another interesting interview.

Kevin Keegan - why would anybody want to leave Newcastle now?
This what Kevin said this morning:
“Everybody at the club’s been fantastic.–I know there’s stuff in the papers saying that players aren’t happy, but I don’t see that. I think they’re happy at the club.â€
“I sat down with them when I first came in and said: ‘What do you expect at the club?’ “What do you like about this club, and what don’t you like about it?’â€
“I took on board lots of things that they felt could be better.†“They bought into the new rules. They weren’t written down, or anything.â€
“That’s what we did, and that was the change around at this football club – lots of little things.†“They weren’t big things. Lots of little things coming together means players coming in happy.â€
“You might find a player not happy here, and he’ll probably be a player not in the side.†“I’d be amazed if you get many players not enjoying coming in to this football club.â€
“They might not enjoy being out of the team. Any player here can always come and see me.†“If they tell my why they’re unhappy, maybe we can do something about it.”
Great words from the boss.
That’s one reason we think Damien Duf, for one, will want to stay at the club, and now we have high hopes that Charles N’Zogbia could also be staying, although he looked almost a certainty to leave a few weeks back.
It would be a good start too, if we can tie up Arda Turan quickly in the next day or two, and this remains a dangerous period in the delicate transfer of the young Turk.
The Kevin Keegan feel-good factor is certainly back on Newcastle, and just watch that feeling increase big time next season.

To be honest, I don’t give a flaming F**K about the little things, and whats happens behind the scenes, who does what and whether MA has a gambling habit.
All I want to see, is the KK magic conjuring up some fantastic signings, like only KK can do!
It’s time to stop the meaningless words and come up with the goodies!

Ed Duff has to be moved on. You know it and so do I. Duff’s not getting any younger. Let’s lose his obscene wages and getter a younger fitter player like Turan. Same with Smith, there’s not many people can sleep easy knowing he’s on £62K a week and contributes absolutely nothing except yellow and red cards. Yes it’s great that players like KK, but KK has to be ruthless and see the dead wood for the trees.

Ed - Stop banging on about Duff and how good WE think he is, he is FINISHED, he is on massive wages and contributes nothing,
Obviously the likes of duff, smith, ameba dont want to leave the club but it has sweet FA to do with how good KK makes them feel, it is that no one is stupid enough to pay them the ££££££’s we were stupid enough to stump up. Ponces the lot of them get shot

i’m sure we’ll be able to get rid of duff and hopefully smith. as for ameobi i’m not so sure.

He also changed the tea they were drinking from Tetley to PG.
Such small differences…

I believe they also get McVities choccie biscuits to have with their tea as well, instead of the old happy shopper ones.

I like the picture youve got with this story… look at Terry Mac in the background, a few too many whiskies for breakfast again eh Terry? Get in, that guy is mental.

I know I don’t like Gordon Brown, but I’m pressing the button that may has well be marked “yes please, sign me up to spam”.
As for “the little things” sometimes that’s all it takes. If you are constantly trying the next big thing and radically altering any team, be it a team of footballers or a team of engineers you will never get consitency. We need concistency, stability and balance at the club.
PS
It’s funny to see all the people who thought KK was “THE BESTEST EVAR!!!!!!” now turning on him and the club because he hasn’t managed to sign Messi or Kaka.

Kash2 - im sure if MA has a gambling habit he can afford it. The guy is worth somewhere between £1.25 and 2.5 Billion depending on which reports you believe. Even if he does lose a million here or there im sure he can afford it, it won’t affect NUFC.

Could we give Alan Smith to Manchester City and then go after the Fair Play entry into the UEFA cup next season ourselves.
