Is this a nationality thing because you fail to see any flaws in Geremis obvioulsy below average game and unless it escaped your attention N’Zogbia also hits the first man with every cross, Scores less than Milner and causes loads of trouble as he moans constantly about leaving Unlike Jimmy who is a perfect lad yet Zog escapes your critisism WHY ??

Punk Skunk – Maybe he is, I really don’t care. It is just the fact that Geremi was more important for us than Milner, but he doesn’t get the deserved credit.

Come on Liverpool launch a good bid that we can’t refuse so we get rid of this overrated winger.

I think its to soon to write off Carroll, who is only 18-19 years old. How many times in the past have we been criticised for not bring thorough young local talent.

But having said that i think this season is a huge one for Carroll. He failed at Preston, his own doing by all accounts. So this season he needs to find a mid-level Championship team at worst and start scoring goals.

Not quite reading imo for the first team squad here at the Toon, but lets wait and see, what have we got to lose?

I would sell him, 0 out of 10 for effort in the first team, dont wait for him to prove he is no good, he will be worth nothing if we do that.

Carroll I feel is one of those players if sold who may waken up and realise he might have to go and find a proper job like the rest of us and then show what he can do, unfortunately as long as he is at Newcastle i think he will show us nothing in the first team.

If we are worried that we need him to stand in for injuries, then I would worry more about him then Smith, so sell him and bring in an additional striker who is very cheap, old but will put the effort in and may score like Jason Roberts, hopefully never needed, otherwise we should have kept Ameobi as a last resort striker.

I would pin our hopes on fabio developing this season and maybe getting one or two first team starts.

You all seem split on whether you want him or not. Judging by the above comments, I would have him down here at Pride Park to see if he is make or break, sounds like a good gamble to take, either on loan or permanent transfer. A massive rebuilding programme is taking place down here and we need all on board who can help the cause and this guy could be one for now or the future by the sound of things.

He’s not good enough for Preston NE but some of you’s think he’ll make it with the Toon? Sell sell sell! The boy’s never goin to be a top striker – he’s hardly got a goal record to be proud of. If we get a million for him I’d carry him to Derby meself.

Don’t rate him that high. I think it is normal that local players are getting fully support, but I think that those players (Taylor, Milner, now Carroll) are too often judged not on their performances but on their local status.

e.g. Comparing Geremi and Milner; the stats all say that Geremi was the most useful of the 2, but still some here think Milner is 50x better than Geremi, which is absolutely not the case.

To write off Carroll is just a bit too soon IMO, but indeed his performances were not from such a high level to call him the best striker for the future. Let him get another chance (flopped at Preston NE) during a loan spell, but if he fails again I think it is time to consider every bid that will be made for him.

Andy Carroll is a fine prospect but unfortunately because we arent playing Championship Manager 2008 he will need time to fulfill his true potential.I cant believe people are dismissing this kid who so obviously has all the credentials to become a top class centre forward for us.He is a far better option than Ameobi and Alan Smith next season thats for sure.

what has andy carroll done for evryone to think so highly of him?????? he scores in reserves but wasnt very gd at preston and hasnt done anything when hes played for our first team!!! its true tht if he wasnt a local evryone wud be willing to get rid, hes not goin to make it as a top player so i wudnt be bother at all if he went

Lobodzinki played very well but i dont think he is good enough.dudka is looking for a new club and his worth about 2mln pound.lewandowski is good but also not cheap.szachtar want 7mln euro for him.
