Sky Sports is reporting that Le Mans midfielder Stephane Sessegnon, who amongst many other players, has been linked with Newcastle United this summer, would like to join Paris St Germain.

Stephane Sessegnon - wants to join PSG
Sessegnon, a midfielder, has been interesting a few clubs, including Arsenal and Newcastle in the Premier League, and has had an impressive season with the Le Mans club.
However, the Benin international, who turned 24 on June 1st, wants to stay in Ligue 1 and link up with manager Paul Le Guen at PSG.
Sessegnon told the Parisien.
“I was contacted by Le Guen at the end of the season, and I want to join PSG,”
“I want to progress. PSG will play in Europe next season and they will be fighting for the championship.”
“I like Le Mans but I want to move to PSG.”
“I am 24-years-old, and the president needs to understand that it is about my career.”
But Le Mans chairman Henri Legarda seems unwilling to let the midfielder leave, and wants him to stay at Le Mans:
Legarda said:
“I will not let him go.”
“He is an important member of my club and one of the main men in the team.”
“He won’t leave, end of story.”
That reads to us like “I will only let him go if we get a really good offer.”

Stephane - in close up
Stéphane Sessegnon was born in June, 1984 in Allahe, Benin.
Benin is an African country and lies between Togo to its west and Nigeria to the east.
He has played multiple times for the Benin National team, and had some impressive displays for them in the African Cup of Nations earlier this year, which we know Kevin Keegan was watching.
Stephane has played 41 times (4 goals) for Le Mans since moving there from US Creteil in France, in 2006, and he stands just under 5′8″ tall.
We’re not sure Stephane will be joining the Magpies this summer, if he really wants to stay in France.
Comments welcome.

THIS JUST MADE MY DAY!!!
read the bottom line, Vela talking bout Dos Santos move to Spurs…HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
“I hope things go well for him at Tottenham, that he gets the minutes he wasn’t given at Barcelona and that he shows what he can do.
“He is a very good player and let’s hope he can then move on to a better team.”

5 Tom_Toon // Jun 12, 2008 at 15:57
Ed, for the last time he isnt a defensive midfielder.
6 Toony // Jun 12, 2008 at 16:00
When is Keegan back? and why does it make a difference when he gets back?
I honestly thought Denni Swise and the rest were supposed to me looking after player recruitment!
Im really, really concerned that we have only had movement out and nothing back in!
In the mean time lesser clubs than ours are snapping up decent players left right and centre!
7 John // Jun 12, 2008 at 16:01
Its obvious that we were never serious about getting this guy then ..Im sure if we seriously wanted him we would get him..
Maybe things are going slow becuase Keegan is on holiday…Lets just wait until he comes back..Im sure they will flood in then.
Does anyone know when Keegan is due back?

KK is not due back,……he is however…..LOST
KK was one of the passengers of Oceanic Flight 815 which crashed on a seemingly deserted tropical island, forcing the group of survivors to work together to stay alive. Their survival is threatened by mysterious entities including polar bears (tottenham), an unseen creature that roams the jungle (MA), and the island’s malevolent inhabitants known as the “Others”(Mackems). They encounter a Frenchwoman named Obafemi Martins who was shipwrecked on the island over 16 years earlier and find a mysterious metal hatch buried in the ground. An attempt is made to leave the island on a raft (fat lampard)

just been on everton site and they’re all talking about turan. apparently moyes was at the game last night and is thinking of putting a 10m bid in. I mean, its bad enough missing out on a player, but to see him line up against us, especially a quality player like turan - it just takes the pi$$. Looks to me like the whole newcastle staff from ashley down has gone on holiday never mind keegan.

13 DavBow // Jun 12, 2008 at 16:17
Load of bollocks Tom, don’t believe it. Moyes was analysing the Portugal vs Czech game on ITV, so i doubt he got from Geneva to Basel in a flash.
14 Stami // Jun 12, 2008 at 16:20
i watched the 2nd half of the Turkey game, and tbh i only noticed Turan on the pitch when he scored that rather lucky goal! still, agree with tom, it would be terrible if we saw him lining up against us next season, i mean Taylor already has the legs of one failed transfer attempt to break with Moderic, he doesnt need another one…hehe
15 nightfall // Jun 12, 2008 at 16:32
Sun’lun’s Burnin’ -

ok…moyes is preparing a 10m bid for arda…perhaps this means arteta is leaving them…for us?
16 The Entertainers // Jun 12, 2008 at 16:36
It could be that people are putting two and two together here, with Moyes at the game….it doesnt mean hes interested in Arda.
After all on the morning of the game he was being linked with Mountinho, then when asked at the start of the match he said he wasnt!
Paper talk until proven, besides i would have thought Everton would be looking for a more defensive midfielder to replace Carsley

30 liamtoonbirchy // Jun 12, 2008 at 18:31
srna has had a top game, great set pieces and quality finish. Between 5- 8m and would be great on the wing and add to our lack in midfield.
—–Inler—–
Srna——Zoggy
—–Turan—–
31 Geordie Gerrard7 // Jun 12, 2008 at 18:37
be a great midfield, i think bilic is a great coach, when kev has gone, would love to see him here. we need to get podolski
32 liamtoonbirchy // Jun 12, 2008 at 18:40
no chance of podolski, croatia’s left back looks good though. we need srna and turan though both realistic signings aswell
33 Geordie Gerrard7 // Jun 12, 2008 at 18:43
great chance of podolski, he was guna go out on loan, but there will be no chance now as he is having smashing tournament.

Nice try Ant and Dec…
Where’s this guy who overheard Mort and Wise on the train?
36 micepie // Jun 12, 2008 at 18:54
The squad could look something like this next season (25 in total), the way things are currently going. No fantasy names, just a realistic idea. I think this wouldn’t be too bad provided the new signings are top quality. 6 rather than 5 IN would be better, with 3 new mf’s ideally:
HARPER
FORSTER
(KRUL)
BEYE
ENRIQUE
FAYE
TAYLOR
EDGAR
KADAR
TOZER
New cb
New lb
BUTT
GEREMI
DUFF
NZOGBIA
LUA LUA
SMITH
New mf
New mf
OWEN
MARTINS
BAHENG
VIDUKA
New striker
37 Sun'lun's Burnin' // Jun 12, 2008 at 19:04
lol geordiegraham i was on about nufc.co.uk not you!!!!!!!!!
38 The Entertainers // Jun 12, 2008 at 19:05
Thats pretty much what we have at the mo’ in terms of squad.
However i would much rather see Tozer, Kadar, Baheng, Forster go out on loan (Still think Lua Lua should stay and could be an impact player off the bench).
So having said that we would need another 3 three players. I honetly believe we need 8-9 new players in total. Granted not all would be first teamers, but we do need a CB, LW, AM & ST for the 1st team, thats almost half of the starting 11!
Major changes ahead, prehaps Ashley taking a more hands on role will be a good thing and see what is needed on a playing front, instead of bringing in boardroom members.
39 Sun'lun's Burnin' // Jun 12, 2008 at 19:08
also geordigraham, i think someone said that out new away kit was supposed to be the same as the new marseille one
http://boutique.om.net/en_nv_fiche__OM-away-shirt-2008-09-pre-order-368890.html
i like it!!! will look class on the golf course!
40 liamtoonbirchy // Jun 12, 2008 at 19:16
CB - Cuellar or Kompany
LB - Riise or Torosidis
DM - Huddlestone or Inler
AM - Larsson or Aimar
RM - Srna
LM - Turan
Youngster - Chermitti
ST - Zigic or Gomis
Promote Kadar, LuaLua and Edgar to first team leaving us a squad capable of top 8.
41 autibo // Jun 12, 2008 at 19:21
I think we NEED the follwing, and I’m being realistic here, if slightly optimistic with one or two:
DC (at least one) - dunne, cuellar, boulahrouz, mathijsen, kompany
LB cover - gardner from bolton, pranjic (croatian), magnin (swiss)
RB cover - contra (romanian), CORLUKA (i wish)…not priority as we have beye, geremi and taylor at a push who can cover here
DM - inler, radoi (romanian), muamba, seb larsson
AM (at least two) - turan, v.d.vaart (pleeeeeeaase!!), bilyaletdinov & arshavin (russian), nicolita (romanian), bentley, kranjcar, rakitic (another very impressive croat)
42 Toon1978 // Jun 12, 2008 at 19:40
This is crap read through the other threads and it looks like Milner is away, Given is away, all the players we have been linked with prefer moves to other clubs. While KK is sunning up somewhere Ashley is selling our best players and NOTHING is coming is. Stick your season ticket up ya arse you fat greedy turd give it to another mug.

LB : Magnin
DM : Inler
RM :Sionko
AM : Arda
the real stars of Euro till now ..the kids that we have to get..
46 JC // Jun 12, 2008 at 21:20
Magnin Wat !? He is the reason the swiss lost last night did you see him trying to play off side…..shocking defending!!!!!!!!!
47 iain // Jun 12, 2008 at 21:21
anyone seen that brazilian lad playing for poland, looks like a good player.
theres been plenty of good players on show already at the euros.
why we never signed magnin and mathisjen when we had the chance still baffles me.
whats the name of the holding mf player for turkey is it aurelio ? he looks a cracking player never seems to give the ball away.
these tournaments might not uncover anynew ronaldos but the make up of the teams there show how flawed our transfer policy has been, most teams are made up of the exciting young players and exp european performers that were deemed not good enough for nufc like magnin, mathisjen and didnt roeder decide goian of romania wasnt good enough for us, yet hes good enough for romania.
noticably rozehanl looks like what he is a crap lightweight defender signed on the basis he had a good game in friendly vs wales.
48 looney_toon // Jun 12, 2008 at 21:25
IAIN = Roger Guerreiro is the brazilian player playing for poland, n i agree he looks gd plus he probs be cheap, skillful creative i lk him

Knypzya Knypols - are you here?
50 ToonKing // Jun 12, 2008 at 22:01
Guerreiro is flashy and good for the eye, but can’t pass to save his life, and considering he’s an attacking midfielder passing is kinda important.
PS: Germany suck lol, i was in a pub to watch the game with plenty of Germany supporters and me and this another guy took the piss out of them all.. it was great…..Lehmann hahahahahha rofl.
51 tommyy // Jun 12, 2008 at 22:09
Magnin is a shocking player, to reliant on his left side and creates nothing from LB position.
Oh and most importantly, he can’t defend.
52 tom tomb // Jun 12, 2008 at 22:16
Don’t need another defensive midfielder anyway.

someone mentioned not renewing their season ticket!!!! i cant believe that…
what i am a bit angry about with the club is that igot my tickets renewal today and they are giving us til the 17th to send them back otherwise we loose them… fvckin rediculous
also the tickets have went up from 850 to 900 quid each in my area!!!
total p1ss take considering they have shown no ambition in the last year… i obviously will renew but with a bit of unhappyness- once again
hopefully that will be a story in the past come september

What had happened with Pablo Aimar? His age doesnt matter as Players his age and older are still goood such Ballack, Pirlo, Nedved etc. The 1 thing that matters is how how good he is when he joins Newcastle!
70 geordiekk // Jun 13, 2008 at 2:02
think the aimar story was just his club putting him in the shop window by naming us probs thought if they name us spurs would go for him
71 S.PARKER // Jun 13, 2008 at 3:09
I agree with you, Yahya Ahmad!
Aimar’s efficiency is not doubtful. Is there anybody who watch Zaragosa’s last match of 07/08 season???
Aimar was really awesome…!!
I’m just worrying about his physical -he is injury-prone- and adaptation on EPL.
72 Ian // Jun 13, 2008 at 8:33
Not funny this morning, Boro is steaming on with a Bullard deal. All Chelsea team virtually named and the signings they will make.
Newcastle nothing at all. Now I am starting to wonder what is going on, is every player we are after in Euro 2008??? It is starting to look that way.
Rossi wants back in the premiership, but they are asking silly money for him, excellent player though.
