Hold Up In Bringing Aaron Spear To Newcastle

News today that the Newcastle up front bid of £150K for 15 year-old striker Aaron Spear, from Plymouth Argyle, has not been accepted by the south coast club.

Aaron Spear – has set his heart on joining Newcastle United

Aaron is in demand from a number of clubs and has been called the new Wayne Rooney, and it had seemed that Newcastle had almost tied the deal up last week.

However, the good news seems to be that the 15-year-old whiz-kid wants to join Newcastle United, after having talks with Newcastle Football Director Dennis Wise, but the Devon club think they should be given more money up front.

We think that Spear’s move will still go through – and Newcastle have told Plymouth they are also willing to pay additional installments, on top of the initial £150K for the player.

But it seems that Plymouth would like more up-front money, even it means reducing some of the installment payments in the future. That’s not too surprising since the Championship side could probably use the money right now, rather than have to wait.

Newcastle are not the only club after the youngster however, and both Portsmouth and Arsenal are also reported to be very interested in Spear, but it looks like Aaron has already made his mind up that Newcastle is the club he wants to join.

The news is that he’s set his heart on moving to Newcastle and the north east, and it seems that Wise was very persuasive in his meeting with the player and his parents recently.

Dennis traveled to Devon with Newcastle scout Lil Fuccillo a week ago, for a three-hour meeting with the 15-year-old striker and his parents, and the youngster was ready to say yes to the Newcastle club after that meeting.

That’s really good to hear – so Newcastle, let’s sign the lad – and it could be a great capture for the future.

Is that as far as the owners wallet will open? 150K!!!!!!!? I bet we loose out on him now cos we’ve made such a mediocre bid. I know he’s just young but if he’s that good then surely we could offer anywhere up to a mil and make sure we get him. Also, is Wisey ever going to try and sign someone thats started puberty? I mean i completely agree with signing youth players. . .but we also could do with some established first team players as its no guarantee that all these youngsters will turn good.

Wisey please sign Turan, seb Larsson, and Arshavin!!!

    Look at him!!!!

I wonder how Wise convinces players Newcastle is a great place to live when he doesn’t live here himself?

We will miss out on this young one too. Our Dennis “the Menace” Wise drags his feet too much for my liking. This “one for the future” should be signed and sorted by now. Plymouth should have more money up front. What an embarrassment NUFC with Wise etc is turning out to be. No wonder our so-called targets end up elsewhere!

god everyones sooooo negative.it seems to me that newcastle are running the club for its future which hasnt been done before.they are weighing up the right moves.as far as i’m concerned dennis wise is getting criticism for no reason.oh yeah ,he lives in london.who cares.thats where it happens.its the capital.and thats why modric is playing there for less than what we offered him.the owner and his advisors will buy the right people for this club.players that want to come.keep the faith

WOW… WE MUST SIGN ARSHAVIN NOW!!! Have you guys seen him on you tube? – he has it all to become a star in the EPL. If we could manage to get him and Turan, Emana, Larsson and Gomis we will scare the hell out of any team that comes against us!! Please KK return from holiday already and make the magic happen!

We go for a youngster and people moan about how we need players for now, we go for established players and people moan they’re not “for the future”.

God, who’d run a football club?

This can only be good news. Yes we want more players but one at a time eh. I am getting sick of all this negativity, get behind ALL of the Toon, even Dennis Wise.

I really think getting this kid on our books will be a real coup……i’m black and white 100%, but you cant ignore what wenger has done at Arsenal and most of his signings are top notch.
So if Wenger or his scouts think this kids good enough, then hes good enough for me.

Is he not the type of player / age the reason why Wise and co were brought in…..we have been guilty of not grabbing promising young talent over the years and heres one we stand a chance of getting…. whats a few 100,000 to Ashley, i’m sure he could find that type of money down the side of his couch!

So sad to read all the people in here… Again, we had Modric, but if he prefers Europe and London before the north east, there isn´t much Ashley can do about it, or Wise for that mater.

You comlain we havn´t bought anyone, when did we buy a lot of player by this time? It´s the euros, not many players care about there transfers at the moment…

Can´t belive there is so many stupid peolpe in here, just get real and wait, the players will come…

Happy to se that atleast some people here know how a transferwindow works…

Sebastian Giovinco (born January 26, 1987 in Turin) is an Italian footballer who is currently playing for Serie A club Empoli, on loan from Juventus. Giovinco is just 164 cm tall and plays as an attacking midfielder with noted dribbling and play-making skills.[1]

Despite his short stature and only being in the early stages of his footballing career, Giovinco is today considered one of the most promising Italian youngsters.[2]
