Breaking News That Ameobi May Join Norwich

There are reports coming out of Norwich, principally from Rivals.net , that the Norwich City club may be close to a deal to sign Newcastle striker Shola Ameobi.

Shola Ameobi – moving to Norwich City?

Rivals.net is reporting that a source close to the Norwich club, suggests that Newcastle’s Shola Ameobi could be set for a move to Norwich, in a deal worth around £3.5m

The Nigerian born striker  has already been linked with Stoke City, Ipswich Town, Hull City and WBA for the same amount.

It wouldn’t surprise us in the least if Shola moved to Norwich, because we believe he would just love to work again with Glenn Roeder, just love it.

Glenn was able to get the very best out of Ameobi, while managing Newcastle, and Shola averaged about a goal every 2 games for the former West Ham manager.

The only problem with Norwich was whether they could afford the fee of around £4M, and whether they could match Shola’s wage demands.

We think if they can do that then Shola would jump at the chance to join them, and could do very well for the East Anglia club.

The players agent, Steve Denos has already admitted that Norwich would be an attractive prospect for his client, and that Shola would have no worries teaming up with former Newcastle boss Glenn Roeder.

We’ll keep a check on the local Norwich papers and web sites, to see if anything else breaks on this news.

I wouldn’t blame him if he stayed and saw his contract out. I’m not saying its the right thing but it would be his last chance to earn big money.
There’s always a chance Keegan may get the best out of him also.

Never lived up to his potential, far too laid back. Just go Shola, you’ve got no future here.

Glad to see a few good lucks on the blog, which i endorse, rather than the few short minded fools who just cant wait to see the back of him.

Hes grown up here local and has supported NUFC since childhood. Made it further than most at Newcastle and has just come short to be honest, but hey the lad has given us some moments of joy.

In all honesty it is time to move on and i’m sure Shola knows this better than most.

    Once again Shola, good luck

they are managing it because Chelsea were interested but now they have a new manager and there is no stability for the players there. Tottenham is the only other option as he wants to live in london again apparently. He aint exactly gonna go back to Arsenal is he. Tottenham are simply not letting opportunities pass them by, unlike us, we are s**t! lol

If tottenham sign bentley along with a new striker (possibly podolski) they will undoubtedly be the best team outside of the top 4 and WILL MOST DEFINITELY challenge for a champions league space.

so far all of their buys since January have improved their squad and it is likely to continue
